This bag came with my Gibson SG. It is a good gig bag, plenty of padding and should protect your guitar. It came free with my guitar, but I really can't see anybody buying it at the price it is. It only has one pocket, and it isn't that big. I am able to fit a strap and a few picks and a pack of strings in it. It's a good bag, but overpriced for what it is.

One of these came with an Epiphone I own, and I was amazed to learn that they cost so much! It's just a simple padded gigbag that is way to tight for any Gibson guitar (it puts pressure on the angled headstock, not good). My main issue with these bags is that they all come with one zipper, which is a total pain. You'd be much better served to buy a cheap hard case from here than waste so much cash on a simple bag.

This is a great gigbag! plenty of padding and well made and great for my tele but not for the angled headstock on a Gibson. Sure they come with them but dont ever drop it!

Comments about Gibson Electric Guitar Gig Bag:

I bought this bag for my Les Paul because for gigging on the road, soft cases are always my preference. This was the only lp bag i could find. it carries the instrument well, good padding, etc, but there's not even enough space for a single cable in the useless front pocket, which is the only pocket. maybe you could carry a bag of picks but that is about it. a useful gig bag should have sufficient space for a couple of cables, and at least two or three pedals, a notebook, and a flask of jack daniels. someone should manufacture a pro-level gig bag for the les paul.

Comments about Gibson Electric Guitar Gig Bag:

My neighbor got this for his epiphone SG special and it is no different that any other gig bag! He paid over $70 for the Gibson brand. Buy a cheaper bag it doesn't even matter. Get an epiphone hardcase for 4 dollars more!

Used to carry the guitar to jam sessions at bars.
You can tell your guitar apart from most of the others by the shape of the gig bag.
      Very thick padding!
Slim to fit in overhead bins on aircraft.
No external pockets to get caught on things.
      Slim slippery and thick padding.

      Going Strappless

      By wangchung-aINhO

Comments about Gibson Electric Guitar Gig Bag:

Even though I did not pay for my bag ( it came free with my SG special) It was still a bad deal. I basically only use this case to get my guitar on and off of my bus on the way to class every day. After only two weeks my strap had almost completely ripped off of the bag and the next day on the way up a set up stair my strap came off completely and sent my SG down the stairs. Luckily that bag is padded or my Gibson would be no more.

      Just So-So

Comments about Gibson Electric Guitar Gig Bag:

I use this for my gibson sg special faded. It is a tight fit, but does not squeeze the tuners out of tuner, or put too much pressure anywhere on the body. It does a good job of keeping the guitar protected, but again, a case is well worth the extra money.
Only one zipper, and one pocket, but they're nice and don't catch or lock. The interior is a very nice grey plush. Plenty of padding (almost too much)...
I would give this a 10 if the material up at the top where it meets the zipper hadn't ripped. It was an easy fix, but it still shows bad quality by tkl.
Honestly, I would recommend paying a little more for a hardshell case. It will protect your guitar just as well, but the outside wont rip..

      Gibson gig bagged...

Comments about Gibson Electric Guitar Gig Bag:

The Gibson Gig Bag is different. Instead of being shaped for one type of guitar, several different types, like Les Pauls, SG's, Strats, Tele's, PRS's, and Ibanez's, will fit this bag. It is well made, thickly padded and it gets the job done. Nuthin' fancy, but it's a good bag!

      Really terrible gig bag

Comments about Gibson Electric Guitar Gig Bag:

This bag came included with my Gibson Les Paul and boy, did the bag rip easily. I carried my guitar around only about once a week, basically to and from Sunday service and took good care of it. Guess what, this bag ripped at the bottom where the zipper meets the body of the guitar. This happened only six or seven months after I bought the guitar. This bag sucks! Don't waste your money on this. I'm lucky that I caught the guitar before it fell out.
