Saga imports these cases for their Blueridge line. Check the date of the reviews. I doubt the older reviews are relevant to what is an improving (changing) import. At this price point, an archtop case will be imported. Compared to a TKL/Martin/Canadian flat top case which is more expensive, it is more compact, lighter, and maybe not as study. To check on an airplane, no wooden case is really appropriate for an instrument you are not willing to repair/replace. To me, for everyday use, compact and light is more important than incremental sturdiness. The case did arrive with one small, 1/2", tear in the vinyl along a bottom edge, which I repaired rather than attempting an exchange.

It does its job (mostly), with a little bit of pushing and squeezing. I'm sure the lining is going to detatch itself because of the strap knob. The broken latch is extremely inconvenient for me but I know a lot of people who don't have the need for it. Had I bought the $49.99 case I might have expected these types of issuses but not for a case at this price. I'm very disappointed.
The material on the outside and inside are both very nice. I dropped my guitar (in the case) on the floor and I felt very secure that it wouldn't be damaged in any way.

I like the black interior. The little cubby hole is nice but is standard with these kinds of cases as with the locking latch. I do wish that the cubby hole was bigger. I can barely fit a box of extra strings in it.
I have a Washburn dreadnought and it fits very snug. Almost too snug to close the case. When I close the lid of the case, I have to depend on the latches and a little bit of force to pull the lip of the lid over the side walls of the case.

Also, the knob on the bottom of my guitar for a guitar strap is pulling the lining of the case down, detaching it from the side walls. And with the final issue I've had is that the lock broke on the latch the first time I used it. I had to take a knife and pry it apart. I locked it with the key (there are kids in my house) and no matter how I turned the key afterwards, it wouldn't unlock itself.
I would spend the extra 15-20 dollars or so for a case in the next price range or I would even buy the $50.00 standard case from guitar center. It seems ridiculous that this case isn't the cheapest hard case out there and has these kinds of quality issues.

Comments about Golden Gate 000 Acoustic Guitar Case:

This was purchased for my Blueridge BR-143. It's a little snug around the body, but fits. Also, the lid isn't perfectly aligned. It needs a little encouragement. This was concerning at first, but hasn't been a problem since I've learned to finesse it. It's an acceptable case for the money.

Bought it for my Martin 000X1AE, and it fits fine (although a bit tight). Satisfied overall with the purchase. It's a good value with decent looks, and sturdy enough to protect and transport the guitar.

              Fits my Martin 000CXE

Comments about Golden Gate 000 Acoustic Guitar Case:

I almost didn't buy this Golden Gate 000 Acoustic Guitar Case because of the previous review, but I went ahead and took the risk because of the great price. I have a 2008 Martin 000-CXE, and this case fits like a glove. At first I actually thought it was going to be too small, but the plush lining gave enough to make room for the guitar. It's a perfect fit; there is no room for the guitar to move at all. My case also has a molded neck rest. The quality of the case appears to be above average, but I just received it today. The latches seem secure, and plush lining is thick and soft. I just wanted to let any fellow Martin 000 owners know that this case will fit your guitar!

              Doesn't Fit

Comments about Golden Gate 000 Acoustic Guitar Case:

Golden Gate 000 Acoustic Guitar CaseIt's a decent case, with an OK strength arched top, but the bottom/back is pretty soft and far too flexible for top notch protection. Construction is OK for the money. However, what really bugs me is that though advertised as a 000 case, it does not fit 000 guitars. My Martin 000 was swimming in this thing. Odder than that is that though the depth seemed about right, both the upper AND the lower bouts were too loose/wide (about 1 full inch), and 000's have about the same lower bout width as dread's. This does not fit a dread either (too small and shallow). So what the heck kind of guitar did they make this for? Another thing that bugs me is that there is no molded groove for the neck, so that every time you pick it up by the handle, you hear your precious axe's headstock and tuning pegs crash against the interior of the case. Too bad 000 size cases are so hard to find. The Martin 000 cases are about 3 times this price, and I haven't been able to find a cheaper version from another company. Cheers

Comments about Golden Gate 000 Acoustic Guitar Case:

I just bought this case for a Washburn Augusta 2008 Concert Guitar, because no one could actually tell me what sized case the Washburn required. This case fits it like a glove. Only the waist of the guitar is narrower than the case.It is a good fit for any 000 or OM sized guitar.
