Got this G6241FT for my G5120...awesome.     Not sure how much better the deluxe version could be.     This case is well constructed and my Gretsch fits perfect...no gaps.     The latches don't appear to be too heavy duty...but they certainly do the job.     The empty spaces and small storage area allows room for picks, capo, slide, cleaning rag, and other small accessories.     The only pain is that the fit is so perfect I have to take the strap off.     I simply roll the strap up and place it in the gap under the headstock area.     Lightweight, yet durable.     I like the fact that the case is flat instead of arched like the deluxe version...it allows for better storage.     I was worried the flat top would put too much pressure on the strings, bridge, or trem bar but it really doesn't.     Great case...and looks slick.

Good lining, good storage area, decent latches.

Good quality for the price...don't feel like you have to buy the deluxe to protect your G5120...this case is nice quality.

Great case for the price.

If you're searching for a case that will cradle your 5120/5122, buy this one. For the price, it's a well made case. The only reason that this didn't get 5 stars was a few wonky stitches around the edges. It's not a big deal. The interior is soft and plush, with a decent sized box for all of your little stuff.

Perfect, NOT economy!

I just received my G6241FT case, and it is nice! It fits my Gretsch G5122 perfectly. The case is black, with 3 brass latches on the side(the center with a hasp for use with a pad lock). The case and handle are well made. The "GreTsch" logo is painted on the lid down across the right corner. The inside is fuzzy grey with a standard storage box. This looks almost exactly like my Epiphone brand hard shell case for my Casino, only it is a little deeper and the "GreTsch" logo is in place of the Epiphone "e" logo. The lid and back are flat, and the sides are contoured like the outline of the guitar. I think is the description as "economy" is a little misleading. I would say this is the "standard" Gretsch hard shell case, and that the more expensive one they offer is the "deluxe". In my experience with Gretsch products, they seem to describe their products modestly. All the Gretsch guitars and accessories I've every bought have been better than I expected!

Make no mistake, this is the perfect case for your g5120.  Too bad there is no product pic up for you to review.  It comes to you in a nice Gretsch factory box packed and padded well.  It has the Gretsch brand silkscreened on the black Tolex cover.  Your G5120 will slide ever so gently into the gray fuzzy interior.  For those who care, it has 3 latches the center of which has a padlock hasp not an internal locking mechanism.  Enjoy.  It's worth the hundred or so bucks.
