Hercules microphone stands are designed to eliminate the problems associated with ordinary stands, and the EZ Clutch MS501B mic stand features two of their innovations that make it possible.
The first is the Quik-N-EZ Adaptor. Simply push the lever up or down to quickly mount the adaptor to the mic stand. It can be left attached to the mic clip for speedy setups.
The second is the EZ Clutch. This allows you to slide the upper tube of the mic stand up or down with a simple lever press that releases the clutch till you have it at the right level.
The EZ Clutch Mic Stand has a die-cast aluminum tripod base and can be adjusted from a height of 37.8" to 66.1".
