Purchased these in chrome for a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Studio 50's Tribute (w/ Humbuckers) to replace the Kluson vintage style that would not stay in tune. Problem solved! The new Hipshots look great and perform very well. The existing screw holes were usable but be careful when inserting the new ones. Excellent upgrade, great product. Will purchase more of these.

I repaced the original ESP LTD VIPER 301 tuners that never stayed in tune. These 6glo Grip-lock tuners are amazing! Made of all metal, they stay in tune even after a few days. They're very easy to install and operate. They work just as good or evern better than the locking tuners that come with the Gibson Les Paul standard 2008. Very Pleased.

Well made, solid construction, good looking, easy to install. This style of tunning key makes it a breeze to quickly change strings. The high gear ratio and build quality keeps the string in place so less slipping durring playing, stays in tune longer.

Replaced the Kluson deluxe tuners on my 2012 lp studio worn brown with these. Wanted a locking tuner for better tuning stability and also wanted black tuners on the dark brown guitar. Installation was easy and the tuning is rock solid. Haven't had to retune since I put them on two weeks ago and I play every day. The only thing is these tuners only have one mounting screw so the extra mounting holes from the Klusons are visible on the back of the headstock. Not a big deal to me.

Install couldn't have been easier. Took 25 minutes to unstring, remove original parts (from a Gigson SG), install nuw tuners, re-string and tune. Thesr tuners are rock solid.
The locking mechanism of the Hip Shot 6glo works flawlessly. Added new strings after installation and after a full day in the studio they were still in tune.

I have had my own patented non locking trem system for over five years now and always use locking tuners with a Graphtech nut.. I started out using Sperzels, (Spotty quality.) then went to Planet Waves,(Some slipped.), tried Grover, (They stunk.), then I tried the Hipshots. Great quality, smooth action, they lock tight and both 3 + 3 and the 6 inline are the same, so I can mix and match for 4 + 2 arrangements and use them for the 12 string version of my tremolo. Great chrome and they look nice. My ownly complaint is the little phillips locating screw on the backside of the headstock is somewhat underneath the locking wheel. No biggy, but you have to be careful putting them in.

These are good, solid tuners. Very smooth. They seem to be very well made and do exactly what they are supposed to do. The locking knobs are comfortable as well. They don't dig into your fingers like the Sperzel tuners. Keep in mind that these are NOT a direct replacement for full size tuners. They are about the same size as Grover Mini tuners. I will definitely be using these on my next build.

I've tried many different locking tuners over the years, and this is the best I've ever tried. My guitar went from constantly slipping out of tune, with less than 5 minutes of play, and being a total pain to get precisely in tune in the first place, to easily tuning up with a strobe in seconds, and staying in tune for an entire practice session, never needing to so much as make a minor adjustment!
