I use this splitter to connect my CD player or my MP-3 player to an amp and play along with music when I practice. I will also use it to connect my devices to my PA to provide background music between sets. It's a simple device that works well. I don't have any idea about durability as yet.

I began DJing with my band's PA equipment a while back, when it dawned on me that things would be MUCH simpler if I just DJ'd with my PC. I began searching for a way to run my sound card straight into the mix board without using a dedicated channel. This cable was my answer!Simply plug the 3.5mm plug into your speaker out on your sound card, and run the RCA ends into the RCA females on your mix board, fire up WinAmp, and voila!The only problem I've had with it is that it breaks too easily when crimped or pinched. I solved that problem by wrapping my wire fully in copper tape. It gives it a little more durability, and doesn't affect sound at all.Thanks, Hosa!
