This "Humicase Compact Electronic Hygro-Thermometer" is quite accurate. Simple and compact, it will definitely fit anywhere in your guitar case. Large LCD display is great. Currently, I am using them for my Taylor 614ce, Taylor 714ce, and Taylor 910ce. I also have a few for my electric guitars as well. Moreoever, I live in the central valley of California so the humidity here is quite high throughout the year. I prefer to use "dampit" guitar humidifiers (tube type) when the humidity is below 45 and silica gel packs (10 gram bags) for when the relative humidity is above 55.
This is a nice thing. It keeps the right humidity and isn't off by very much.
This unit is really worth the money. I have found that the measurements are accurate and reliable. I plan to buy another one soon for use other than for monitoring the environment of my musical instruments.
This hygrometer has a great bunch of features and works extremely well. A buddy of mine and I put ours together in the same room and played with the temperature and humidity in that room a little bit, and both hygrometers changed at the same time and to the same number. The memory feature is also pretty cool. If you have an acoustic guitar, you need one of these to moniter when you have to put humidity in the wood. It's small, and I guess your paying for that because the actual equiptment to humidify your guitar is about 5 dollars less than this.
