I'm super happy with this thing. I would certainly buy more of these. I might even give a few as gifts... if I don't keep them for myself!
I just purchased one of these Capo Tuners, and I'm way impressed! The thing is light but really solid. Coming from having just broken a cheap plastic tuner, this one feels like it is going to last me forever. The backlight is nice & bright, and the color changing when in tune is a handy feature. Very clever combination of these two guitar essentials!
The quality is really good. The machined aluminum feels like it belongs to some fancy-schmancy laptop computer.
The price is right. It's about the same as buying a decent capo and a decent tuner separately.

The Capo is well built but the tuner is a little less then i expected. I am a metal guitarist and i play in drop tunings and it didnt pick up lower pitch notes. I bought it because i play ofr my church.
I got it cheap but if you have a good tuner and want a backup one with a capo. this is it.

Comments about Intellitouch CT1 Capo Tuner:

This is a perfect example of thinking outside the box. I amazed it has taken so long for someone to come up with it. It has forever been a hassel to carry a capo and a tuner to fumble around with between songs, particularly when you don't have the leisure if an empty chair beside you,
A guy had a jam had one and I knew this would make things simpler, My only regret is that I didn't order one for each of my guitars.

There is only one downside and that is that it doesn't adjust out big enough for the fat neck guitars.,,,, but I bet the folks are working on that.

Comments about Intellitouch CT1 Capo Tuner:

I like this idea a lot! I am not saying the tuner is the best in the world. I have a little trouble tuning my 12 string and I choose to use a different tuner for that guitar, but it is fully functional and with the tuner being in your capo, as crazy as this sounds, you always know where your capo is! Until now, I was always looking through my cord bags and guitar cases wondering what the heck I did with my capo, Now all I have to do is look down the neck of my Tele and WAL-LA, there it is! When I change strings or set intonations on my guitars, I always use a "plug-in"tuner for that, but when I'm out playing or practicing, this is excellent, and works nicely on my Tele. One thing you have to get used to: the screen does not adjust like the other headstock tuners… You have to find a good spot to clamp it where you can easily read it and it can still pick up vibes from your strings. This is really not a problem, though…..All in All, a very good product….It's nice to still see someone with the wheels turning upstairs when they design something!

The spring is so strong it left divots in the neck of my brand new Martin. I would never, ever recommend this capo. Instead I bought a Shubb capo and a basic (safe) clip on tuner.

Comments about Intellitouch CT1 Capo Tuner:

When I bought a Breedlove guitar I loved the way it looked but soon realized that the peg head's unique styling made it difficult to fit my old Intellitouch tuner and Kyser capo on at the same time. The Capo Tuner eliminates one of those and its readout is very easy to see. Also I don't use the capo that much and have trouble keeping track of one, but I always know where my tuner is. So the old capo is like my cell phone that I tend to lose and the new one is like my glasses that I always have.

Capo works, tuner works, but the plastic cap on the back that keeps the battery in place broke right away, (cheap and flimsy!) so now it has a piece of tape holding it in place... tsk, tsk..

This is a nice device but it is very awkward to use on a left handed guitar. No models for lefty's??????? WHY???? To register open (EADGBE) tuning you have to clamp it above the nut. If you have a capable standard tuner and the intonation on your guitar is accurate then when you use a capo it should be in tune. Nice device but I would'nt recommend it over a standard tuner.

It's like having a smart capo!

              By

Comments about Intellitouch CT1 Capo Tuner:

The Intellitouch CP1 tuner capo is a functional, reliable way to keep your instrument in tune while also having the added convenience of being a capo as well.
I purchased the Intellitouch CP1 to get the advantage of having a capo and tuner all in one .The changing color of the display from red to green when on key is very helpful when you can't focus on the number of arrows shown on the sides, indicating you are sharp or flat. The display is large enough to be easily seen when attached to the headstock. It comes supplied with an additional battery, which you will find you need soon after beginning to use it.
My only problem with the Intellitouch CP1 capo tuner is checking the tuning of my instrument when being used as a capo. It seems a little confused with different notes being sharps or flats and has trouble recognizing and locking on specific notes. I do like its durable construction and ease of use. It can be moved easily with one hand, a big plus.
While it's a bit pricey, you could easily spend as much for a seperate tuner and capo, so it's definitely worth it. The inclusion of the extra battery helps.

              Why not?

Comments about Intellitouch CT1 Capo Tuner:

Just a good product. For once, the description is actually not doing the item justice!
The capo works perfectly. I have another capo from Dunlop that is both hard to use and doesn't hold the strings well. This all-in-one cappo works like a charm. It fixes both of these problems. The tuners are super accurate. It is very nice to see the lit up display. It is kind of hard to see if I am flat or sharp while the capo is on, but I can usually see the red light and hear if I am sharp or what not.
This feels like it will last forever. The capo is durable, it sounds amazing on my guitar. It just works.
A little pricy. It's just a little expensive, but in the end worth it.

              By

Comments about Intellitouch CT1 Capo Tuner:

I used intellitouch tuners since they came out because they're innovative. I've been waiting for someone to come out with a capo tuner for years.

I gave this tuner a 6 because they still need to improve on the sensitivity and lock on note stability of the unit. There's times it works great and times it can't seem to find the note. I also own a Snark that seem to work better in this area especially on bass. It seems to be well built but I haven't dropped it on a hard floor yet.
Because this capo is visible on the neck they should offer more colors like black and dark brown so it dosn't stick out like a sore thumb. Also, I don't like having to hold down the on & off button to turn it off. I'm not sure why they did that for this model but it's annoying.

I'd like to buy two or three more but I'm holding out for some of the changes I mentioned above. Hopefully competition will speed up this improvement change.
Needs more colors, better lock on note stability and I don't like having to hold down the on & off button to turn it off.
