I installed this in my Fender Deluxe Reverb that I purchased new in 1973. I replaced the original speaker which I intend to have re-coned. The tone is right on the money. I re-tubed the amp as well and now it is back to its original sound. I love this amp/speaker combination.
The clean sound you get and the warmth of the tubes through the speaker is classic Fender! Great Great sound.
I made an excellent choice!!!!!

I have had a lot of amps and the speakers they come with, I bougthA Fender Super Twin Reverb 1978 and replaced the speakers with this Jensen, and I couldn't belive the tone, the fullness and the clarity these speakers did to this old amp, wheter I play with my Strat, Tele, Gibson Les Paul, Gibson ES 335 Hollow body, Rickenbacker 450, or my Squier telecaster custom ultramod, glued neck to body and seymour duncans...the sound is uncomparable!!! After playing for a wile with tube amps and this very good speakers, I have to say I would never want to go back to solid state Amps, I prefer the tone, vibe and vintage sound.... That's all...

This is the ultimate replacement speaker for Fender amplifiers that produced the great 50s and 60s rock and roll sound. I'm referring to the Duane Eddy, Ventures, Gene Vincent and Beach Boys eras.I put these C12K speakers in a 2-12 Bandmaster cabinet and was amazed at how the sound improved over the E*in*ce speaker that were installed to replace the original 1966 speakers.

This speaker is very impressive. Comes OEM in my 65 Deluxe Reverb. It is my first experience with Jensens (usually, I use Eminence Speakers) and this speaker covers all of the bases with ease. From jazz to country and rock, if you like a punchy, immediate soundin speaker with nice mids and good solid bass - this is your speaker.

Replaced a blown Eminence spkr in a Fender Twin Rvb amp. Although the Eminence is slightly brighter, with an SM57 at close proximity, the C12K has a slightly warmer, yet clear tone, and does justice to the Fender amp.

I put this in a Crate 50W combo as a replacement speaker. It takes a beating without breaking up and provides good clean or distorted ear-bleeding crunch.
