Unlike the rest of the world that seems to only buy 10" speakers for a SuperChamp XD, I needed some replacement speakers for the odd-ball '73 Bassman Ten I have. 4x10 closed back cabinet. I bought these basically because I needed replacements asap and was too poor for something fancy, like a P10r.

I absolutely fell head over heels in love with them. They have clarity in all the right places, with breakup and saturation exactly where I need it. Your mileage may vary, but I couldn't be happier with these. Deep, deep lows and crunch mids. I play almost entirely blues with a touch of rock, and these things hit the spot. I gave up my search looking for the "best all around 10 inch speaker." Tone snobs see the "MOD" sticker on the back and crack jokes, but they concede that they sound good.

I ended up with a fender Vibrolux that had P10r's in it. The amp sounded tinny, shrill, and just unpleasant. On a whim, I put in 2 of these Jensen MOD10-35's and it came to life! It was a whole new amp. I couldn't be happier. There are probably better speakers out there, but they cost more than double and will get you probably 10% better speaker. In my opinion, these things nail it for a tiny price.

I bought this speaker and tried it in a Fender Super Champ XD and a Bugera V5. It's a pleasant enough sounding speaker and I think it's a great deal if you really need it but I found that the speaker was much too bright and glassy sounding in either of these amps and I went back to the stock speakers for both. I also found that on the Super Champ all of the overdriven amp models sounded very similar to each other through this speaker and are much more differentiated through the stock speaker. This is my second try with replacement speakers for these amps and I keep coming back to the stock speakers.

So I'd say this speaker is a nice low cost option if you have a damaged speaker or are building a cabinet or something but they are not an improvement over the stock speakers in these amplifiers.

Replaced four original speakers in my 94 Fender Blues Deville - WOW! What a difference... I thought the retube I did last summer was a major improvement - I had no idea these new Jensen speakers would improve the sound even more. Clear, clean, and crisp - in overdrive properly crunchy!! Highly recommended!!

Comments about Jensen MOD10-35 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I replaced my 10 inch speaker to my brand new Fender Super Champ XD with the 10-35 from Jensen. (the stock one fluttered at high volume) The sound is a lot better, a rather bright on the "Metal" distortion setting. All in All I get the full bodied, Fender clean tube sound loud and clear. And for 35 Bucks, I cant go wrong.BTW, I use an Ibanez Archcore AS73 semi hollow body giutar w/flat wound d' adderrio strings.

Comments about Jensen MOD10-35 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I had bought a MOD10-35 a while back for my VOX AD30VT, it sounded good in that, but not quite what I was looking for. Then I tried a Jensen C10Q in the VOX, good but still not what I was looking for. Anyway, the VOX ended up with an Eminence RamRod, that did the Trick. Now, my Fender princeton Chorus to my ear was schreaming for something to give it that Super Reverb ultra Fender'y tone. So I played around with the C10Q, that sounded pretty close, then I dropped the MOD in. If you are aware of the Princeton, it's stereo. So I dropped the MOD in the mono side, and I was in Fender heaven. I just got a second MOD10 today. WOW! A Super Reverb at a steal, Ventures to SRV. My Strat now sounds like one. I'm very Happy!!!

Built my own full stack cabs and used 8-25s in the first and 10-35s in the second. There is a definite tonal difference between the two and one without the other just lacks something, but together, WOW. If you want a good all round replacement, you can't go wrong with these.

Comments about Jensen MOD10-35 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I've replaced a lot of speakers over the 30 years I've been playing. This is one of the best overall replacement speakers out there for what you get. It's well rounded sound and quality of construction make this speaker well worth the price!
Simple 8ohm, 35W speaker......very simple to drop right in my Fender Super ChampXD!!
Very well built. It's no too heavy or too light. Construction of the speaker and it's housing unit seem very well made. I wanted to replace the stock speaker in my Super Champ because it couldn't handle the low end frequencies at all. It distorted and buzzed if you put the volume at "3" or above!! This Jensen handles the lows with NO PROBLEM!! I cranked my Super Champ to "6" with absolutely no buzz or distortion. The sound is a bit more mellow in the highs than the stock Fender speaker, which I prefer. Whether you're playing clean or dirty, the speaker handles just about anything you throw at it with the volume cranked.
For the sound you get at this price point, it's by far the best value you will find. This speaker will greatly enhance the sound of your amplifier! If you are looking to replace the speaker in your Fender Super ChampXD or the Fender Frontman 25 (both amps need speaker replacements IMO), or similar amp, this is the speaker to buy.

Comments about Jensen MOD10-35 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I bought a crate v5 for the blow-out price a few yrs back. The thing sounded lousy to say the least. I bought it because I really liked the tube feel of my Epi valve jr,and for the price, I figured it would nice to have another 5 watt tube amp for practice. Well the v5 sat idle until I plugged it in recently. Time didn't fix it. I saw all the mods that could be done to it online and figured the quickest, easiest solution was a new speaker. I didn't want to spend more than the amp cost me,so when I saw the good reviews on the Jensen Mod 10-35 I had nothing to lose. Man, what a difference! The stock speaker would get break-up @ about 2-3 and it WASN"T pleasant. The Jensen Mod doesn't have break-up 'til about 6 and doesn't sound like a blown speaker. Tight and clean lows, mids and highs with a little midrange throatiness. I now can use this amp without cursing it! Good quality speaker @ a good price. Highly recommended!

If you need some great speakers and are also on a tight budget, then the Jensen MODs are exactly what you need. I built a 4x10 cabinet for a Marshall Valvestate Mk1, and the 10-35's that I used sound great with it. The bass is phat, the mids are real punchy, and the treble is smooth. Overall, they have a very full sound to them. I've been using them for over a year now, and no technical problems have occurred.Definitely not a disappointing buy.

After much research, I purchased one of these speakers to replace the Celestion G10D-25 in my Vintage Marshall Reverb 12. I was quite impressed how much it resembled the sound of the original speaker. When they say it can achieve that "British" crunch, they weren't lying. I can jack the volume and gain at twelve and it's pure heaven. Clean sounds are beautiful. I would highly recommend this speaker.

Comments about Jensen MOD10-35 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I was not happy with the stock speaker in my Fender Frontman 25R, so I first tried a Warehouse Veteran, but it is rated at 15 watts and was exceedingly loud, so I got this 35 watt Jensen. It is also quite loud. I only use the amp to practice in my apartment, so I don't need much volume, but I do prefer a full sound that requires a better speaker than Fender put in the amp. I am quite happy with the sound of this speaker and though I doubt I'll ever do a gig with this amp, I'm sure it would get loud enough to play in a small venue. Most people would probably think it's crazy to put such a speaker in a low end amp, but it removes the distraction of having a crummy sound when practicing. No regrets. (PS: I have several other amps including a Blues Jr, a Super Champ X2, and a Supersonic 22, so I am familiar with the Fender sound, and this speaker delivers it nicely.)

I bought this Jensen MOD35 to replace the el cheapo 10" in my son's Fender Frontman 25R Texas Red combo amp and I was thoroughly impressed by it's sound. The stock speaker sounded cheap, thin and papery & flappy/flubby....no good... As soon as I swapped for this Jensen I also wired in an ouput jack "between" the amplifier & the speaker so I can use this speaker in the combo amp as a speaker cabinet running the head of my choice directly into the wired output jack and driving this speaker with the combo amp off. I plugged a 5 watt all tube "Metal" head into my new "speaker jack" input and it handled extreme distortion surprisingly well. The stock speaker would sound "farty" if you turned it up past about 2 but this Jensen loves it loud! I guess my Dad knew the "Jensen Secret" back in the 50's!!! THEY HANDLE VOLUME

Comments about Jensen MOD10-35 35W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I am using these Jemsen 10's with an old Kustom head. So close to a classic Vibrolux sound. Love them !!
