I installed this in my circuit-modified Crate V5. It BARELY fit. Seriously, it cleared the amp chasis by about 3 mm! The Mod 10-50 replaced an older 25W Celestion 10 that I had originally installed in place of the V5's HORRID stock speaker.
The Celestion was a definate improvement over the stock speaker (anything would be!), but the Mod 10-50 is even better. The low end is tighter, mids are fuller sounding and the highs are sweeter.
If you have a Crate V5, this little amp can be made into a monster by performing some circuit mods that you can find online, swapping out the tubes, and popping in a Jensen Mod 10-50. No joke!

I installed two of these in a Rogue Amp after the speakers went out (the amp has a decent clean sound and I got it for a good deal at Musicians friend). Amp sounds great now.

I bought a pair of these on sale and was expecting this to be no different than the stock speakers my amp came with. I was wrong, these speakers are a diamond in the rough. Due to the low cost I didn't expect such an improvement in my dist. and clean channels. I was adjusting my pickup switch and man I heard sounds I didn't know my guitar was capable of. Bluesy sounds to rippin' metal shreds of a whispering witch. If you have stock speakers, buy these NOW! You will not be disappointed.

I like it. I'd buy it again. I'd put in an amp with more power with confidence. My little Vypyr amp can now hold its own in a live situation with a full band better than many amps with 12" speakers.
It's a speaker. It has a frame, cone with surround, coil, and magnet. That's a nice set of features to have, if you are a speaker. if you don't have those things, you are probably not a speaker.
This thingy says a ratring of 10 means fantastic. While this may not be the best 10" speaker in the world for every imaginable application, it has a versatile sound palette and does an excellent job in a small guitar amplifier.
This is where this speaker really shines. From the standpoints of sound, versatility, power handling, and consistency, this speaker is unbeatable in this price range. You can spend a lot more without sounding much better. You can also spend a lot more and sound worse.

Wide range of tone... can tweek it the way you want it
The quality of the tone is exceptionsal. Clean, the tone is crisp without being too bright. Driven, it has nice bottom end with a nice fuzz to the sound... I think if you were to mix a Fender with a Celestion, this is what it would sound like. My Fender Frontman 25R was just too thin and bright for this classic rocker... the Jensen MOD brought out a better classic tone.
Best bang for the buck! You won't find a better speaker at this price!

I had to pile on all these good reviews. Put this in my Vox Valvetronics+ VT40 and it came alive! Very clear sound, tight bass, delightful harmonics, and the high end is clear without being shrill or painful. The stock speaker got muddy and fuzzy. Problem solved! If your considering an expensive speaker this is worth trying first

I tried to research what people were doing with the XD in trying to find the right tone for this amp. When I first got it I hated it! I realized being a tube amp, it needed some time, speaker break-in, tubes as well, so I waited it out some. Though it got better, still not happy. So with having gone trough this period of searching out, what I thought was the right tone, I have quite a collection of speakers and tubes.I ended up with an Electro-Harmonix 12AX7, and kept the GT's in. Then I placed a Jensen C10Q replacement which got me closer. Being this is a modeling amp, I did want to get as much out of it as possible... Makes sense?The C10Q worked well with the Fender models, nice bit of Fender shimmer, dumped the ice-pick highs too. So I desided to try the MOD 10-50 for versatility sake. BINGO! I used my Tele as the barometer for it's first test, and am really happy with the results! All models seem to have their own character now. I just got it, and maybe hasty, but speakers only seem to get better as they get broken in, soo.... Tone is very subjective! All I can say is that now I think this amp has potential. Eminence,and Celestion didn't get it done in this amp. Over forty years of experience talkin' here!
