Korg makes the most widely used tuners. Used by musicians of all sorts. All of my band and orchestra directors have the Korg CA-30 for spot tuning sections. I'm using the DTR1000 in my rack guitar rig beacuse there comes a time in a guitarists life when he feels like stepping up his gear. Professionals play on professional products. Why Korg? Because every other tuner I've tried that was not Korg would pick up an overtone or a harmonic half the time. That gets annoying real quick. You can't tune off an overtone in tempered tuning. The note I play is the note it reads. What gets me is the fact that the 1000 and 2000 have most of the same labels but the 2000 lights up and looks better sitting in your rack but you have to pay an extra bones for it. The strobe feature comes in real handy when adjusting intonation.

Despite what people say, this and the korg dtr2000 are industry standard if youre in a band with rack equip. it tunes fine, considering my band plays on 8 strings tuned to low F. it mutes well enough for a quiet setup, and theyre everywhere for cheap used. my entire band uses them.

Not worth the $

I had bought this tuner a while back and though it is acurate there is no way to keep guitar strings tuned accuraly with each other because there is no deffinate in tune light. I think it's safe to say that a lower dollar tuner is just as good if not better. I'll be selling this thing for those reasons.

Almost Perfect

Picked this up to throw into a bass rack after deciding to get everything off the floor. In comparision to the Boss TU-2, it's very accurate and tracks the notes a lot quicker, especially in the lower octaves of a bass guitar. The multiple FLAT settings making it great for drop tunings - however the system resets each time it's turned off. Be mindful to re-calibrate each time if you drop tune at all. Otherwise, very sturdy and quality build & very easy to read and use.

Good, but I like the old ones

Overall a good tuner with the newer displays. But the old models (dt-1, etc.) had more flexibility in hook up options (i.e. input & output jacks).

Pretty Awesome Tuner

This is a great tuner. Yes, it is a pain that the tuner doesn't mute all the way, but I found a loophole. I run my guitar directly into this unit, then from the tuner out, I run a cable to a BOSS TU-2 tuner. The pedal tuner acts as a kill switch, but allows me to still tune silently. You can hook up a pedal switch to the Mute jack on the DTR-1000, but this does the same thing, plus I have a back up tuner! Works great and pretty afordable compared to other rackmount tuners.

Very good

Very accurate tuner. Looks great in my rack when in display mode. My only criticism is that I have to have it on the very top of my rack since it protrudes out a bit, which blocks the racklights from my furman power conditioner from reaching the gear directly below it. other than that, this is a gret tuner and i will stick with korg for a long time!

Fabulous 4 Fretless

By RW-baIqZ

from Northern Virginia

It works so quickly that is a fabulous tool for fretless players because you can check every note. The dots on the edge of a neck are never perfect, and the 1000 shows me exactly which way and by how much they are off. It's especially useful if you slide to a note that you need to let ring because you can roll a finger to make sure you're ringing exactly in tune. I wish they made a floor model! You cannot play through a DT-10 and have it show the tuning at the same time, unless you plug the amp into the bypass jack, which means that you lose the ability to mute while you're tuning. I'd love a DT-10 that works just like the 1000.

QUIET!!!!!

This tuner seems to work OK.. tracks fast.. but I can NOT over look the fact that it's noisy!. It doesn't mute to silence when tuning in live applications.. this makes this thing virtually useless! It's the craziest thing! Even when hooked up separate from the actual audio chain, it STILL bleeds through the amp.. NOT GOOD!! Don't buy it!!
