I have several of these straps that I have purchased from 2001 - 2015. I use them on a variety of guitars including Ibanez RG and JEM models to Gibson Les Pauls to basses. They always perform flawlessly and I have never had one break or slip (to be fair, I use strap locks on my Les Pauls and heavier guitars anyway, and the oversized strap buttons on the Ibanez models are a bit different than the average strap button). The one I bought in 2001 is still just as good today as it was the day I bought it even though it is showing major stage wear (leather has darkened and smoothed, some studs have fallen off). They have changed the type of leather used to make these over the years, and I suspect this is to keep the price around the same as it was back in 2000 - 2001. I think I may have paid only a little less for it back then. It isn't a bad thing because they are still just as strong, they just need a little more breaking-in. Rub some leather lotion on it if the texture bothers you that much. I've got other straps - some that are six or seven times the price - but these Levy's are my time-tested road warriors.

Honestly kind of disappointed in the strap, I've got a couple of other levy's straps that I've used for years. This one seemed VERY stiff out of the box. The others I have are quite supple. The others I have also were not a supple leather, seemed to be the same stock as this. I don't know if the studs made it stiffer, or the strap dried out some from sitting. I tried to return it and very unusually MF gave me the runaround. Kind of disappointed with that. Over all I think it will soften in time. I hope so...
It's a strap, got holes for strap buttons and holds your guitar up. No features really to speak of.
Well made, I'm sure this will last for a long time.
Good deal on a strap with studs.

Amazing Durability

I've had this strap for about 8 years now. Its just as strong as the day I bought it.
No other strap I have owned has ever lasted this long. Also, it has never slipped off an instrument.
It looks great and will probably last for another 20 years. I'm finally thinking of buying 2 more.

This strap is very nice. I've only used it at a couple of gigs so far but it looks like one that I will have and be able to use for countless years to come. Quality looks great and price is excellent. Plus it looks awesome.

This strap is awesome it is the coolest looking thing. It holds your guitar in a good position and doesn't move like a nylon strap.

Anything levys is good to me

      By Hellacaster99

I am a really big levys fan, I have a levys that I use when I play my strat, but I am getting this strap for my girlfriend, it looks good, and if its like a levys at all, I'm sure it is of outstanding quality, ps, for those of you without strap locks, I recommend you get some, there well worth it!

      Sweet

      By Anonymous

This strap is totally sweet. Its lower hole is a little weak but if you don't throw around your guitar it should be fine. The studs are so cool. If you are looking for a stylish strap this is the one.

      Eh.... Not good

I have had this strap for 2 months and i am proudly going BACK to nylon/bonded straps. the holes for going over the buttons are horribly weak! the lower hole on the back end is torn through, and the front end hole is torn enough for me not to trust this strap. keep your guitar in one, undented piece. Don't buy this strap.
