We tend to think of cables as just dumb wires that go in and out of our amplifiers, but lately I've come to recognize that our instruments, effects, amps and speakers are all part of a system, rather than discreet unrelated units. Cables are important at every link. Anything which affects a part of that continuous circuit will have an effect on the quality of sound. This seems obvious, but it's surprising how many people don't think that way. I've always used good cables, I thought, on the instrument end. And then I bought some GREAT cables as an experiment. I expected, at best, subtle differences, but got enormous ones. I have no similar comparison for these speaker cables - I got them when I got a new cabinet - but I suspect the principle holds, just to a lower extent because it's further along the signal chain.
These are big beefy cables. The distinguishing features are the size of the conductors and the heavy duty insulation and connectors. They're made for performing under difficult circumstances. With 12 gauge conductors, each of these cables can easily carry 2400 Watts of power without heating up! If you need more headspace than that, I can't help you... With instrument cables the concern is minimizing the effects of capacitance and (to a minimal extent) inductive reactance. With speaker cables you're more concerned with resistance. These are really some LARGE pipes.
The connectors and visible parts of the cables are first rate. I haven't taken them apart, so I can't really say what they're like inside, but everything you can see (and hear) from the outside is excellent.
This is the area in which Live Wire cables really shine. There are no other manufacturers I've found who offer such high quality at such a reasonable price. This is especially true for Live Wire's Elite line of cables, both instrument and speaker. I have better instrument cables, but I haven't found better speaker cables at any price.

I have done amp repairs for over 30 years and it seems like I always get one that the owner used some 50 year old coax guitar cable between the head and cabinet.
Don't Do It People!!! Your instruction manual tells you NOT to do this.
So, the bottom line is : Buy a good quality speaker cable and this is one of them.
This speaker cable is amazing !!!
For the price I don't belive you will find anything tonally better for the exception of a Monster Cable for twice the price.
It has quality construction and is as close to military spec as they come.
If you're looking to save $$$ then buy these.
Heavy 12 guage wire and no indication of cold soldering. Extremely hum free and they'll survive the rigors of the road.
If price is no object then buy a Monster Cable. But if you'd like to save a few bucks buy these.
I find very little tonal difference between these and the Monsters and I doubt your audience will hear the difference.

i bought these about 3 years ago and they still work, i got 2 i run a 4x12 and 2x12 from the same head live, i only have one left but thats because one got stolen in a guitar case at a show, they're pretty awesome they really hold up to abuse like touring and getting beer spilled on them and what not, im going to buy another to replace the stolen one, i was looking at the cable to figure out the name and was surprised to see they are made in CHINA, i didnt expect that with such a quality product but that doesnt change my mind about buying another one at all.

Heavy gauge wire, hefty connectors and beefy stress relief all add up to one premium cable. No need to scrimp on quality when this cable is so affordable. You don't want the last link in your sound to sabotage your guitar & amp output & this cable won't! Plug this baby in and then forget it. Would have given it all 5's but doesn't have compression plug ends.

Forget all those expensive speaker cables, this cable does a great job and doesn't cost an arm and leg. I used to run an instrument cable through the head to speaker cab and i didn't know till a few months ago that it was bad, so i looked for a low cost speaker cable and it was a toss up between this one and a regular live wire cable, since this one is way thicker its better, so i wen't with this one and my amp go WAAAAY louder. I run through a peavey windsor half stack with an epiphone les paul plus top. BUY IT!

Awesome 12 Gauge cable, I personally find that 12 AWG cables work the best in any guitar or bass halfstack or fullstack. The only problem with this one is the price.Overall, great cable that wont let you down, but poor pricing, too expensive for 5 feet of cable.
