Solid sustain/damper for your money
I've had one of these M-Audio pedals for over a year and found it to be very well constructed. Some may find it to springing, but I like the response.

I've had one of these M-Audio pedals for over a year and found it to be very well constructed. Some may find it to springing, but I like the response.
It has a good weight and I have never had it slip away from me. After extensive gigging it's held up fine - looks like new and never had an issue.
I believe most of the functionality issues I've read in other reviews can be fixed with a switch of the polarity switch on the bottom. I never had a problem. Never had any screws come loose or anything.
Another winning, inexpensive accessory from M-Audio. I would rather this pedal, for the feel and weight, than the stock pedal that came with my Korg SV-1 stage piano (however only the Korg pedal, to my knowledge, can do the half-dampening they have developed) but that's new tech and I won't hold it against the M-Audio.

They drop the sustain enexpectedly a little at first and then fail completely. They might be good for a home occasional player but they don't hold up on da road!

Don't have any experience with other models, so I can't make a comparative statement, but it's a simple design that does what it says it's going to do. Added it to my M-Audio Keystation 61 and it gives the instruments, especially the piano sounds, a more natural feel.

The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is because even though it has added weigh and it is very sturdy... It still slides.

Hard to find a better pedal for this price, even used. Great feel - the spring is strong and the platform is very stable. Having had a runaway pedal in a previous product I am happy to find this one finally stays put!

Stays put, does not slide around. My 15 year old packs this to gig twice a week and has not managed to tear it up in a year of use. I'm about to order another for our rehearsal room.
