I bought a new guitar which is just perfect for me, with one small exception. The strap button is on the guitar body, and I am much more comfortable and well balanced if my strap is attached to the neck of my guitar. This simple little strap button has solved my problem. Being comfortable with your guitar position is essential. Now my guitar really IS perfect for me.

This strap "button" positions the guitar differently on the shoulder, concentraing more weight in one area, rather than spreading on and around the shoulder (more comfortable). This is much less secure, like fastening a seatbelt acroos to the passenger clip. TOO easy to escape. Finally, unlike the pic, the strap now interferes with the left hand, I don't care what you say. Adding a button where it belongs voids warranty. Great guitar, though. I'll sit.

          a great find

Comments about Martin Guitar Strap Button:

I never heard of this item (always used a shoestring) till someone mentioned it very briefly in the review of a strap. Well, it's great! It's so much neater than having a simple tie string, and the quality and finish are excellent.

          Works Great

          By Jeffery Serrano

          from Jackson, WI

Comments about Martin Guitar Strap Button:

This Guitar trap button is the best way to put a strap on the ol' Martin, much better then tying on the strap.

I would recommend a leather Martin strap to go with it.
          Easy on, Easy off
          Good leather
          Most things are over priced

          Seems Good

          By Patrick Long

          from McLean, VA

Comments about Martin Guitar Strap Button:

Seems sturdy and function well. Better than my old shoe lace. I got two of them for my Martin guitars. I am happy with them. What can I say about a small leather belt with a two sided button? Very secure.

Martin Guitar Strap Button works great

          By Dave F

          from KY

Comments about Martin Guitar Strap Button:

A great alternative to adding a pin hole to my Martin. Seems to protect the guitar and makes it easier to take straps on/off
Looks like it will hold up for a long time

          More comfortable...

          By neildollar

          from Michigan

Comments about Martin Guitar Strap Button:

Certainly better than a makeshift shoe lace, and looks cooler as well.
I like this product but don't know if it puts any undue stress on the neck. I use it on my hundred dollar Tak, and have one for my Martin but am hesitant to use it on that.
The way it is positioned while playing, it looks like the strap could pop off the button, but it hasn't happened yet. I play pretty aggressively on the Tak and it's been very good.

          guitar strap button

          By Dan J

          from North Carolina

Comments about Martin Guitar Strap Button:

I purchased the Martin guitar strap button for my Epiphone Les Paul concert ukulele. I intend to purchase a tenor ukulele as well and like the idea of being able to switch the strap between the two with ease.
The Martin guitar strap button is made of leather with plastic buttons.
