Comments about Martin M540 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I am a beginner and traded for a really banged up guitar. I replaced the strings and these made the guitar sould bright and open (more range)

      On my Taylor --- now

      By Barista Brian

      from Hawaii

Comments about Martin M540 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Great-sounding and not very expensive. Don't last as long as *coated* strings. No surprise, there. Last longer than most *uncoated* strings. YMMV.I have picky ears (128 kbs music files sound like crap to *my* ears) and can *hear* the quality of *any* guitar string degrade substantially after just a day or two of playing. Again, YMMV, and I must add that my hands have "toxic" perspiration. Really. But, any way, I have these on my Taylor 814ce and I love them. About a week old, though and ready to be changed already. Again, *I* can hear the difference. *Maybe* you won't. If not, these will be an even *better* buy.

      Great strings - !

      By Russ M.

      from Rochester, NY

Comments about Martin M540 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Martin M-540 Phosphor Bronze Light Gauge Strings are very fine. I learned to tune the wound strings to pitch before cutting off the excess, and this prolongs the life and tone quite a bit. The sound is crisp and warm. My only slight regret is that the low A is a 42 gauge, which is a bit thin sounding. But, as a set, they are very fine.

      Keep Coming Back to These

Comments about Martin M540 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I own 3 accoustic guitars. I have tried several different brands and styles of strings. I keep coming back to these. They last, they sound great, and they are priced right. (my Applause Ae48 came to life with these strings) If I ever get my Taylor 414 I might go to Elixers, but for now these are my strings of choice. You will be pleased.
