The XtraFlex Duet from Mighty Bright is a stylish LED light with a sturdy base and 2 fully adjustable goosenecks to cover 2 pages of sheet music and more. Its 2 large LEDs have separate switches, never need replacing, and emit an even light with no hot spots. The Mighty Bright XtraFlex Duet light can be used freestanding on DJ stands or mixing boards, or can be clipped to the top of a music stand. It takes 3 triple a batteries that I have not had to replace in a month and a 1/2 since I recieved the light. The battery compartment is tight on the unit and I have not had an issue with it opening up at all.
The LED lights are nice and bright and I like the fact that it has 2 fully adjustable lights with their own on/off buttons. You can use one or both.
I like the fact that it uses batteries and I don't need more wires cluttering things up.
One reviewer said you can power it off of a USB port from a computer. I have no idea what they are talking about. There is no plug on the light and I don't know any USB adapter that can take the shape of 3 aaa bateries. Maybe they reviewed the wrong product???
I was sceptical with the low price but the light has exceeded my expectations. If it does wear out or break after a couple years I feel I would have gotten my money's worth from it.

I bought two of these lights and have really liked the compact size and the fact that these run on batteries - very handy for outdoor gigs where outlets may not be available. However, after several hours of use the bulbs eventually dim to a blueish hue which doesn't really put out enough light to read the music. A fresh battery made no difference - the problem is in the LED bulbs themselves. Other musicians I know have this same problem with this particular light. At this point, I'm starting to look around at traditional plug-in stand lights which yield more light and have replacement bulbs that are readily available.

Used this for pit lighting for a musical production. Bought 2 and both worked flawlessly over the course of a 4 show weekend. Haven't used enough to see how battery life is, but they've lasted for about 10 hours thus-far. Very flexible and easy to attach to a variety of music stands.

For ocassional use and its compact size, this will be just fine. Its not as bright as an AC/corded unit, but will help during low-light gigs. One of the switches is a little flaky, but not worth sending back for a new one.

I was caught in a very dark room about 2 weeks ago and was unable to see the controls on my DJ box. The mighty bright light provides just the right amount of light for me to see my controls. No more flashlight!

I have used this light for about two years as a regular accessory in my gig bag. Since we use music in dark venues, I often need a stand light. I use it most of the time with the AC accessory- I strongly recommend it. I also carry batteries in case I cant' get a plug, or if I need to use it like a flash light. I carry the light, the AC cord, and the extra batteries in a Kiwi sax neck pouch.
The dual lights give me lots of flexibility (no pun intended), especially for music on two pages, and it doubles as a terrific book light.
Not that one expects loads of features in a light, but each light does have two levels of bright.
Very solid, although as someone mentioned, the battery door opens too easily.

My lower ratings are due to the fact I ordered the wrong product. I personally would buy the 120V version as it is working very well for me, gives plenty of light, and stays put on my conductor stand, also from Musician's Friend.
I actually purchased this battery powered light by mistake. I have the 120V powered version of this light and like it so well I "thought" I ordered another. However, I have used it as a spare for jam sessions or when additional power is not available for a month now and I have not experienced the issues reported by other reviewers. Not what I thought I ordered but so far so good.
