Comments about Mighty Mite MM2914 Bird's Eye Telecaster Replacement Neck with Maple Fingerboard:

First time tele builder, bought a MM body and this 2914 MM neck. Actually bought 2 bodies, one was way too heavy and the neck pocket was sloppy, I returned it. The other is awesome, light and resonant....anyways, back to the neck... Fit the neck pocket snug like it should. The neck is straight as an arrow, the fret work is actually very good without any leveling or crowning. I can rock 2 of the frets very slightly with a straight edge, but no buzzing or dead frets. Pretty amazing, really. The finish is an "oil-based" finish, so no shine or satin, but feels and plays great. C profile is definitely a medium, not too thin. Fret edges are just slightly sharp for my preference, but not unlike a new Fender. So, overall, a great value and the guitar looks and plays great. One note for beginners like me, the tuner holes are not for vintage Klusons. I needed to buy adapter bushings, and even with those, the holes are a sloppy fit. If you want vintage-style Klusons, this neck is not for you. Otherwise I recommend it for a successful build the first time.

Comments about Mighty Mite MM2914 Bird's Eye Telecaster Replacement Neck with Maple Fingerboard:

I did a nice job getting the tuning machines on and mounting the neck. To my great dismay, from the 12th fret up, the high E and B strings dead-out when doing blues bends! (Not a particularly low action, either.) In order to be able to do blues bends I have to set the action so high the neck is unplayable, unless you are only going to do slide guitar! No amount of tweaking fixed this problem. Ok, once in a while there are lemons. But when I sent an email to the company, I received no reply whatsoever. It is as if they don't exist (or I don't exist)! This compounds my frustration and anger about the 'neck' to the Nth degree. My advise to anyone contemplating this purchase is DON'T DO IT! I just spent [$] on a neck I have to throw away. Unless you're a gambler and like to take a chance on blowing some hard-earned cash, stay away from this company and it's guitar neck products. Bad business.
