Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
I have had a band for a while now and we had a bit of a proablem with humming on our P.A. system. This thing cleaned it right up. I've had it for over a year now i believe and it still works great. This unit is well worth its money although if i have to replace it i would replace it with a little bigger unit.
Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
Had mine for just over a year so here is my 2 cents on it. Worked fine so far after being pluged into at least 8 different circuits at different places. The 6' power cord has an angled plug which has let me wiggle my way into two differant tight spots with loaded up outlets. 1850 joule rating is the highest by FAR of any other in it's price range which is the main reason I bought this one. This is a single stage filter which I've read is the standard for all so no different there. I've read they all degrade over time so I trust Monster to degrade at a much slower rate. 1850 joule rating is where this thing is no slouch what so ever. Thats one heck of a surge absorbtion for anything, if you blow past that you were doomed in the first place. Whether you like Monster products prices or not you get what you paid for as always with their stuff, quality. Atleast you'll know you can trust this piece of equipment for what your using it for and what its designed to do. After little more than a year I have no regrets with this product.
Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
The Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter is not a professional power conditioner. How on earth am I to calculate amperage? Exactly how many power amplifiers can I plug into it without a complete meltdown? I have used Samson, Furman, and ETA power conditioners...all have clearly-rated amperage in their product listings, manuals, and even on the chassis. But no Monster product ever lists these things. They should be iMonster for dumbing their products down (yes, iJoke). I give the Monster Power PRO 900 an overall rating of 2.5 because of the amateurish way in which they market substandard equipment with the illusion that it is professional grade. Monster speaker cables are the same way...they do not list the AWG rating...so there's no possible way for you to select a 10-gauge cable over an 18-gauge cable. For some reason, Monster marketing has decided that you the amateur doesn't need to know this. Well, it's because Monster products are not professional grade...neither are their customers.
Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
Pretty nice features. It has LEDs to let you know if you have ground connection, overloading etc...which is very very handy. Overall, its great way of protecting all of you electronics. Highly recommend.
Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
This and all Moster products are fantastic. If you are having a problem with power noise this is your answer! If you have problems with interconnect noise you may have to move up a couple of models, what ever the case you can't go wrong with MONSTER!
Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
Not what I was looking for, I emailed Monster and they responded quick and told me what I needed to know, it would be nice if someone had mentioned this though. If one of the devices is causing the noise the PRO900 wouldn't filter it out. The PRO900 has only a single filter built into. A Stage 1 Power Center is great for cleaning up external electrical noise. A Stage 2 Power Center with 2 isolated filters would be better suited to help resolve some of the noise issues you are experiencing.
Comments about Monster Power PRO 900 PowerCenter:
We had a nasty buzz in our monitor system from the stage light dimmers. Re-cabling, etc. helped but did not eliminate the problem. Put one of these units on the incoming power to the monitor amps, and poof! Blessed silence! One note: The backplane is confusing, because the outlets are marked with different colors (silver, gold, etc) but they all have the same filtration.
