Fine stand, but I had to bend the bottom "U" holders out so my guitar knobs wouldn't come in contact, and this gave an overall better fit. Not really a problem though. Quality is good.
Unpacked it a few hours ago and the top piece that holds the neck broke off. Not bothering to send it back though. I was able to use the padding to replace the worn out padding on my fav. stand I have had for 10 yrs.
I bought a Squier M80 guitar plus an amp and some other stuff with this stand. The Squier has a short body so the pickup knobs can come in contact with the base unless I maneuver it. No problem though as I think this will have no effect on "most" standard electric guitars. The neck height is adjustable, has a thick rubber retaining band, seems sturdy and adjustable enough so I recommend it. It does everything I expect it to do for home use.
This is a great toll to hold your guitar and it is very durable. My right leg lock didn't go down all the way but besides that it is great.
This is the sturdiest stand I've used. However, after 3 or 4 practices the top piece that holds the neck of the guitar broke right off. Once I switched that piece out with a one from a spare stand missing it's base (I'm always losing those removable bases) I had a very good stand that I'm happy with. I'm not sure if it's worth the full price (especially if you don't have a back up neck piece) but it was certainly worth what I payed for it.
I myself have a BC Rich Evil Edge Special Edition Mockingbird. I got this stand because I needed a cheap, but decent quality, stand. There is no, and I repeat, no defect in the stand. Just don't get this stand for a BC Rich Mockingbird. The stand holds it in fine, but the body can't "stay on" the bottom parts where the guitar rests. It [guitar] can only rest on one part; the other isn't touched at all. Bottom line is this is a great, cheap priced stand but don't get it if you have a BC Rich guitar.
