I purchased a couple of these for use in my home studio, and thus far they've worked out really well. The stands are pretty sturdy, fairly well built, and do exactly what they're supposed to do. I can see that durability might be an issue if I were constantly transporting them and using them in a live setting on a daily basis, but using them here in the my studio off and on, I don't expect to have any major problems with them in the near future.

Well, I ordered this and a Kustom PA pack, this, plus a mic clip. This is the only thing to break... By the end of the first practice my band had together with this mic stand, the metal rings that hold the top of the stand to the base wore down and no longer holder the top part still anymore. I was unable to send it back due to some 40 or 45 day return limit. They don't even sell/offer a replacement base!

bad quality

By Mustarlos

from fontana, ca

I bought this mic stand a couple months ago, never threw it around, took good care of it. One day the base just falls off.. The threads were ruined so I couldn't put it back... really broke my heart. And now I have to buy a new mic stand. This thing is not heavy duty, not good for gigging.

Gettin' What You Pay For

By BackStep5

from Springfield, MO

I got this mic stand simply because it was *cheap*. I haven't been disappointed with it. The weighted base is just heavy enough to make the stand stable, but small enough to easily store. The only downside to this stand is that it seems a bit short, at least for me. I'm 6'2" and even at full extension I really can't comfortably use it for live vocals, but it works fine for holding my studio mic or for amp micing.

eh...

This mic stand fell apart within about 2 weeks of easy going use. The bottom fell off from the threads in the stand but i might try to glue it. But I guess if glue works you cant beat the price.
