Comparing this side by side to an On Stage Stands 7362B, I have no real problems. I do like the push in and click adjustment so that you can change the width easily. The arms are pretty deep and look sturdy enough. However as others have said the stand has a fairly deep angle and depending on the guitar it could be leaning back a fair bit, almost too much. However- I took a piece of very sturdy packing foam (not styrofoam; cushy but stiff) and cut it to fit on top of the foam that is there at the top of the A, glued it down, and it worked perfectly to stand the guitar straighter. That was the only real negative I could find. Considering the other stand cost twice as much, I'm pretty happy with this one.

Stands are a great price, small and they are very solidly built so I bought 2 to try out. The stand adjusts to different widths. The main issue is the arms that support the guitar are much larger then they appear in the photo. This means the guitar reclines back at too much of an angle. The guitar ends up putting more weight on the back of the guitar where the stand touches the guitar. This would be a simple manufacturing fix, and shows then need to do more product testing with a range of guitar sizes. This would work better for larger body electrics. However I wouldn't put a semi-acoustic on it because of pressure of the back of the body. I think it is flawed enough that I will see if I can fix it... nope. The arms are welded on.

Comments about Musician's Gear A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

A bargain, and a great and versatile stand; however, the part of the stand that contacts the guitar really needs more padding. I am afraid that, over time, it might scuff or damage the finish. It may not work with non-standard bodied guitars (Firebird, Explorer), but it holds my Les Paul, 335, and Strat just fine.

Comments about Musician's Gear A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

I know I said compact then turned right around, and said not a space saver. Let me explain myself; it has a small footprint, but the seat for the guitar causes a solid body electric to lean back further than the base is wide it is quite deep. Could be a good thing for thicker guitars, but mine is thin. If only they added an adjustable angle at the top to reduce the lean it would be perfect.
