I just received my tuner. I was a bit skeptical when I ordered it, based on the previous customer rating, but for the price I figured, "What the heck!" I opened the box, installed the batteries and began tuning. I first tuned using the input jack, and was surprised at how quickly and how well it worked. Next, I tuned using the mic. It worked well, but not as quickly as with the jack. Still within a few seconds, I was in tune and ready to play.I can't really find any issues with this tuner so far, and for this price if I lose it, I'm only out a couple of bucks. This unit will fit inside nearly any guitar case, it's very compact. An excellent value.
Musician Friendly,Okay I am very skeptical about cheap products and quality. I am a big fan of all Korg products. From processors, keyboards and tuners. However I was skeptical when I purchased this tuner. I figured its cheap oh well what do i have to lose. Once i put in the batteries and put it up to my acoustic. The signal from the tuner read the notes way to quickly. I am astounded something this cheap can be this clear at hearing acoustic signals. I wonder what it will do when I plug it into an electric. I am very astounded by something this cheap. I am a big fan of Musicians Gear now. I like how it picked up every string i was tuning. if you want a quick response then this is a tuner for you. The body is cheap plastic so please be careful. However you will enjoy every second of it.
If you want a plastic box that spits out random cords then you bought the right thing, but if want a guitar tuner then don't buy this thing.I would still be mad if it were given to me.
Really difficult to tune the guitar with this cheap-and-it-shows tuner. There are others out there that for only a few more dollars actually offer a product that works well as opposed to this one that works only just. I got two for my two kids and I will have to buy two more of a different brand as these are just cheap junk. They are very reluctant to pick up what string you are tuning with lots of false readings of irrelevant notes! If your guitar was badly out of tune (lets say you just changed a string) you are going to have a hell of a time trying to get back to tune with one of these as the readings are all over the place until you are almost spot on. I own a slightly more expensive tuner and have no such issues.
