I have four of these and used them for years. They get the job done BUT the photo shown on the Musician's Friend web site shows the support arms installed backwards. Installing them to match the photo makes the stand front heavy and unstable if anything but the smallest amp is put on it. The correct, and stable, way to put the arms in is so that the longer arm is on the bottom, not the back (see the attached photo of my stand.) In the Musician's Friend photo, the left arm and right arm need to be switched. I told them about this years ago but they've never corrected the photo.

I should of done little more research but I was trying to save a buck
But it will serve it purpose for being at home stand. I would recommend this for on the road.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

Bought to use with open-back single speaker combos, about 40 lbs. Stand seems sturdy enough, but could probably be better if it came with some kind of non-slip padding instead of the uncoated metal that holds the amp. Will probably look around for something like that myself. Since my ears are on the side of my head instead of my ankles when sitting on the floor, the stand points the sound in a direction that you can hear what the instrument and amp is really putting out. Acts like a monitor in that sense. I'm using tube amps that get hot, but you could probably have some fun trying to slip some back panels of different materials behind a SS amp to find the 'right' tone 'cause life is too short not to have good tone!

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

If your amp has a solid back, you're probably OK. Mine has a partially open back and that makes it kind of unstable for a stage setup. The supports have nothing to 'support' but open space.
