I have 2 of these cases each holding a bass. I took a long road trip from Alaska, through Canada, and finally down to Texas with my basses in these cases. In spite of being stuffed in the back of a Jeep and getting crushed under the pressure of an over-packed vehicle, rubbing against some rather sharp metal objects, baking in the withering heat of the New Mexico summer, and gagging in the suffocating humidity of Houston, Texas--these cases stood up very well to all the abuse! My basses were in pristine condition when I arrived at my destination and removed them from the cases. Unfortunately, I was not able to get to my basses immediately upon arrival so they had to sit in the cases in the Houston humidity for a couple of weeks before I could get to them; however, there was NO damage, mold, mildew, or foul odor in the cases or on the basses when I finally got them out! I'm VERY glad I skipped the gig bag option and put my instruments in these cases. They are NOT airline quality; however, they ARE roadtrip quality! For the price, you just can't go wrong!

I bought a roadworn jazz bass and was looking at the Fender tweed cases to match the used, vintage vibe of the bass. This case came up in my search and I went for it based on the low cost and the knowledge it might get some mild "abuse" to match the bass. It was delivered packaged well, but it had a small dent in the front – a dent that I would bet was there when it left the factory. The glue smell was overpowering when I opened it, so I aired it out for a few days with great success. Up close the quality of the workmanship and the details are just so-so. I'm a bit worried that the handle won't last long, too. Does it protect well? Yes, and overall I am happy with it for the price and purpose it bought it for, but that's it. If I would have bought it for my new, pristine MIA bass I would have returned it and went with the higher quality, more expensive Fender tweed case.

I just had my 1984 Ibanez Roadstar II 4 string bass reconditioned to use in a classic rock band and I needed an affordable hard shell case that would provide good protection. I bought the Deluxe (black) bass guitar case. This case works.

It's a good case just like the black ones but to me, and this is just a personal opinion, The construction of the case is not the greatest and the picture shows 4 latches but mine came with only 3 ?? So I feel that I would recommend it to a friend but I would also tell them to just get one of the black ones just as good if not better...

I've had a few of these cases. Not bad for everyday use, transporting your bass from home to practice/gigs, or shipping. Would not fly with it, though!
Wait until they're on sale, if you can. I saved fifteen bones on this case during the Memorial Day sale.

This fits the bill for my Squier Active Jazz bass perfectly. I needed something to carry my bass around in only occasionally & for storage (since I mainly gig on sax). I didn't want to spend too much for a case. This one's pretty good. I just got it, but it seems to be ok for what I need.
