The tweed look is excellent and is well made. I bought it for my Taylor 810 and the fit is perfect. I was so impressed, in fact, that I put my Taylor 614 in to see if it fit, and it does, with no loose spots at all. So I ordered another for the 614.
As other reviews have stated, this isn't the kind of case you toss to the baggage handler at the airport-but that said, it is more than sturdy enough for gigging and doing basic travel. The storage is no different than my Gibson or Martin cases. Strings, picks, tuner, strap and all fit easily.
The case certainly appears sturdy. The locks are fine and the interior is attractive and reasonably plush. You could certainly give the case a good whack and not hurt the guitar. Not that I tried that, but you could.
For the money, forget it. (I have the tweed model, which is slightly more expensive) Money well spent.

Although I don't play professionally anymore, I still like to take a guitar with me to our beach house. I didn't want to risk taking a stage guitar so I bought the Yamaha FGX700SC, which is a really good guitar for what I wanted. Even an inexpensive guitar such as this deserves a case but the problem with the Yamaha is that the lower bout is larger than on most guitars. I gave this one a shot and it fits tightly, but it fits. It would have fit with no issues at all except for the foam cushion that goes around the inside. It takes a day or two for this to compress enough that the guitar slides in and out easily. The case is a little heavy but seems to be solidly constructed and I had no problems with the latches lining up. Shipping was fast and it arrived in good condition. If you are just looking for a nice case at a very good price, this one fits the bill. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend.

It's pretty good quality for the price. The outside of the case marks up pretty easily and the latches are kinda dinky but it holds up fairly well and protects your guitar like it should.
