I purchased this bass case for a Fender Modern Player Jaguar bass. It doesn't fit. The neck is too long and the bout of the bass is too tight a fit for this case. The latches are the cases weakness. They don't always line up and are tight to move. Since it didn't fit my Jaguar, I put my Spector Performer in it. The Spector NS body has a bit too much room, so I had to use towels to prevent the bass from shifting. Better than a gig bag, but not nearly road worthy.

I needed a case for an Ibanez GARTB20 Bass and didn't want to spend alot. It will do the job to keep the dust off it, and transport for occasional trips. While the interior shape is fairly generic the Ibanez "classic" body size which is smaller than most seems pretty secure. While I read in another review that the latches did not line up well, I find that if you take care closing the lid it is not an issue. For me the case will do the job. If my bass was more expensive and/or I was going on the road extensively I would most likely want a premium case.

Reasonable Value, Good Protection

By Daniel Hibbard

from Sterling, VA

I purchased this case to replace a gig bag as I needed to stack instrument cases for traveling. The molded outer shell is very durable and the inner lining is soft. My bass fits snugly in the pocket with some extra room above the head. The storage pockets are handy but not very deep, and they don't have a cover so things can float around in the case.

The biggest dissapointment are the latches. As mentioned in some of the previous reviews it takes a bit of effort (pushing the top down and over) to get them to close properly. When they do close, they are missing that "click" I get from othercases. I've never had an issue with the latches coming open, just wish they operated a little smoother and the lid lined up better.

Overall it is a good value and protects my bass, which is what I was looking for.

Molded Electric Bass Case

By Marlys Watts

from Dows, IA

Totally satisfied with the quality and service.
The case is form fitted and has spaces for cords and accessories. So much better than the cloth case I had been using.
Case is sturdy, good quality, and nice looking. It was promptly delivered.
Excellent price for a good quality case.

Ask me a question

I just got the case today, and I can honestly say that the case is awesome! It's nothing fancy but it appears that it will get the job done. I mean I don't know why someone would need a two hundred dollar case! That's insane, of course unless you on the road 24/7. But me, I toat it back and forth from church, to my school, and occasionally to a friends house. So I'm not in need for something to exspencive. That's why this case is perfect for someone who wants good quality for a low price.

Does the job at a good price; latches are fussy, but expected for the cost.

Economy Molded Electric Bass Case

By Jeff Bowman

from AZ

Overall rating is that it is a good item for the dollars paid. Minor flaws such as clasp misaligned but usable and easily damaged in transit are fixable versus the cost of a good hardcase.
Good Features to hold a Fender Precision Bass. Good lining and sections for cords, etc.
Case arrived via UPS and was a little bent up. Managed to straighten it up with a mallet.
One clasp is misaligned from factory but usable. This may be one that slipped through QA.
Good value for the price. Better than a gig bag but not as good as a real fender hardcase.

You get what you pay for

By Alex Barber

from Maine

This is a cheap case, but it does its job. The latches are cheap and don't line up well, same for the hinges. The inside has room for extras and it fits my Precision Bass perfectly. The lock doesn't work. It will lock, but you can't take the key out if you lock it. So what's the point?
Overall, if you're looking for a cheap case that will protect your bass, this is it. Don't expect much, but it will get the job done.

Great case for the money

By BRDouglas

Ask me a question

My Economy Bass Case arrived today and I am very pleased with it. It fits my Squire 70s Vintage Modified Jazz bass perfectly. It has two good size compartments for strap, cables, tuner my strap is custom made wide leather and it will hold it perfectly. I put my bass in it and my essentials and shook the case around pretty good to see if stuff was moving around much or fell off and nothing broke or moved much. Overall I would buy another one of these you cant beat it for the price. Only reason I haven't given it a 5 overall is because I haven't loaded it in the trailer to haul it to the shows but I feel that its going to work out all right.
