Does what I need it to

| Review By: Shaun Ward | 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Features:

Has a pretty nice sized pocket in front, straps to wear on your back, handles if you like to hold.

Quality:

It's a bit on the thin side, but does protect my guitars when I go to rehearse or gig. Not for extensive travels, but will do fine on short trips... say from your home to a show or practice.

Value:

Can't beat $15 bucks for this bag.

Overall:

This gig bag fits my Les Paul and my Strat when I'm looking to travel light and not lug around a hard case. I wish I would have gotten this sooner.

Features:

the gig bag seems fine.  i've read other reviews that complained of the smell.  i did not detect any strange or obnoxious smell at all.

it's odd that i wasn't asked to write a review of the much more important part of my purchase.....the mexican telecaster.

it sounds great.  i don't much care for the action toward the top of the neck, though.  other than that, i'd say it's a great bargain.

This is a great gig bag. I have no complaints for the price. Just like any gig bag its not going to have really thick padding. If you want the greatest quality gig bag you would be spending alot more. I dont think that the bags smell bad, it just smells like the materials that the bag is made of. I have no complaints. If you want a case buy a case because that is the best protection for your guitar. I would also like to add that no a bass guitar would not fit in this electric guitar gig bag. Anyone should know that the measurements would be alot different because a bass guitar is alot longer than a standard electric. Like I said in the beginning great bag for the price.

Check the size of your guitar

The published specs on this bag are 43" long, 16" and 15" lower and upper bout.  We bought this for our son's short scale electric bass that measures 43 1/4 inches long, hoping it would fit. The inside measurements are very close to one inch shorter than the adverised specs, and due to the flat bag design, your guitar will probably need under 41" to fit.  So his 3/4 size electric guitar is now in it instead with room to spare.  Yes, the padding is thin, and the pockets small, but it's just fine for our use.  We bought one of the Muscian's Friends deluxe gig bags (for just a few dollars more) for his base.  In my opinion, it is a much better deal, with thicker padding and larger pockets that will fit music binders etc.

This is an inexpesive bag. It has good apartments however the zippers are of poor quality.

I bought this to store a vintage american low dollar electirc in the closet. For that purpose it will work great. However if I tried to use it to take a guitar around with me I don't thing it would last a week.

You get what you pay for and I'm happy with the purchase it is just what I needed.
