If you need to take your bass somewhere, then the Musician's Gear Elite Bass Gig Bag will certainly suffice. Sure, it's not the best case out there, but the value for the price is incredible. The material is very durable and the stitching is quality work. The one inch of foam padding is enough to protect your bass from minor jaunts, but I wouldn't throw it down a flight of stairs or anything. The case is great at keeping the dust and dirt out when traveling to/from gigs. The inner lining is a very soft material, but is also a bit loose meaning you should have a finger on the inside of the zipper to ensure no snagging occurs. The area for the headstock is lined in the same material as the outer layer so the material does not get caught in the gears. If you always close the case with the zipper by the headstock, you can unzip it enough without snagging worry to get a finger in there for unzipping the rest of the way. The largest pocket is just barely big enough to hold a standard piece of paper, so don't expect to put a 3-ring binder in it, but several pedals or some cables will fit great.Overall, if you are going to get a gig bag, get this one. Otherwise, if you want more than a dust cover, get a hard case.

This bag is not worth the price, even at 30 bucks. It's poorly designed and uncomfortable. I've had the bag less than a year and only use it for my back up bass so it gets very little use, so you can imagine my surprise when I noticed the zipper is worn out in one spot already. It is only a matter of time before the zipper gives out completely. Spend a few more bucks and get a Levy's or something a bit better. I don't normally go out of my way to post reviews for products, but I get so mad when I use this bag, I had to post this.

Great bang for your buck bag!

I got this bag free when I bought my Spector and I was shocked by the quality. Plenty of pocket room, good padding, and a nice weight. I have no worries throwing this in the back of my car and driving to a gig. Don't be worried by the name, this is a serious bag!

don't get this econo style

OK I use this bag everyday for school not only is it uncomfortable to wear in that the metal parts of the straps dig into you but the bass catches the bridge on the inside. The Zipper ALWAYS catches the inside of the liner. Worst part is the digging into your neck and back pain. Don't buy it just to save some money like I was thinking.

This is an awesome bag! I've had mine for almost three years and it's the next best thing to an actual hard shell case. I play an LTD B-104 and it fits in there perfectly. I highly recommend this gig bag. You will not regret it.

Fantastic Gig-Bag

By BassFreak

I received a Musicians Gear Elite Bass Gig Bag as a Christmas present..and its wonderful! The guitarist in the band I play in is jealous of it and wants to get an Electric guitar version of it. It has nice big pockets for cables and music and a nice little pocket for picks, a tuner, or a cleaning cloth. It has three ways of carrying which is great. I use it with my Rogue LX200B bass guitar which has an extended neck and fits fine in the case. I recommend this gig bag to anyone its a great deal and fantastic quality.

Looks nicer than the picture

I bought the red one--although the picture makes it look like your old corduroy pants from the 90's, it is not. It's twill-like texture with a tiny red/black pattern--the red is a muted shade, not sports car red. I thought it looks classier than the typical solid color cordura nylon-type material. Also, the 3 pockets come in handy--I'm a pocket junkie--and the large pocket is gusseted, so its contents won't press against the guitar. My Rogue LX-200B fits in there just fine. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price.

Bought this for my new bass instead of buying a hard shell. WOW what a value! I'm not afraid to set my bass down when its in this bag unlike others I have had. For the money, you won't find better.

I picked up one of these when they had them on the Stupid Deal of the Day special. Wish I'd picked up a few of them. Pretty well padded and has held up to a lot of abuse.

I've Got A Feeling...

This bag is a gig bag, so don't expect perfect protection, it's only really good for keeping it from dust, scratches, and bumps. Has a good feel when I put it on my back, the straps help relieve some pressure from the weight of the bass(Not a lot, not recommended for heavy basses, comfort wise.) The many compartments make it good for separating your picks, tuner, extra strings, and music books. Overall a decent price for average protection.

This is my second bass bag. The first one was for my MTD, this one is for my TUNE. This is the best bag for the money you can buy. 1" foam padding, soft interior, roomy pockets, durable tweed exterior. You can't go wrong with this one.

Musicians Gear Bass Gig Bag

By Anonymous

I got the older one a few years ago, but it looks the same as this one save for the logo on the front. This bag has a great feel to it, and the protection is decent, but it started falling apart like 6 or 7 months after I got it. One zipper stopped working, and the material on the inside of the case where the zipper is is shredding more and more each zip, getting material caught in the zipper. In all its average. I would not recommend this to anyone though.
