I don't care what anyone says, I've been using these cables since they first came out as "Musicians Friend Deluxe Tweed XLR Cables" back in 2004.
Not one of them has failed and I use them as my main cable. The black rubberized cables have come and gone, connectors shorted, crackles develop. Not on these. Solid Neutrix connectors and durable tweed wrap. These do not tangle! Therefore they do not bend or crimp the wires!
A solid non-bending cable with solid connectors. There's nothing more you can ask for. It fits all mics. I rave about them every chance I get. The end.

I've been using some of these so a long time. Seems the newer ones with the blue ends are better than the older versions with grey ends.
Don't trust these cable to make a good seal on the mic. They clip in fine but they seem to not grip the poles.
I will be relacing them with better cables.
Don't use when doing live sound. I had one bad experience so far with one of them not having a good connection and I wasn't able to replace it during the show. I was bumming.
Hope it helps!

Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
great cable that really stands out against a sea of black cables in our practice room. I use it to connect the direct output from my bass amp to our recording system and I never have to guess which cable is mine. No issues with loss of tone or noise, a great overall value.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
I bought these to replace the cables we have in our studio as the old ones have been used and abused. They have been nothing but problems since day 1. I sent back 2 of the 3 we received as they crackled and hissed when plugged into our MXL 90 mics. They sent me 2 replacements and those were not much better. Needless to say i just bought some Mogami cables and will be tossing these where they belong, in the garbage. I took a gamble after reading the negative reviews and lost. Don't make the same mistake i did, get something better and avoid the headaches.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
It is a great cable for the price, however it does not grip the mic very well. It wouldn;t be good to use if your are a vocalist who likes to take the mic off the stand, but on a stationary mic it works well just have to get some tape to make it grip the mic properly.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
I bought 3 of these at one time. One of them had a bad connecter. Musicians friend gladly replaced it but the replacement was also bad. I have used them 3 times & another one is bad. The female connecters that plug into the mike are cheap made, but the cable itself is a good decent quality.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
I have been using these for 10 years now. Probably time to buy some new ones. I have not noticed any degradation in the signal quality, but I'm not doing any highly technical work. Best thing is that I'm the only one in my circle of musician friends using them so they never get mixed in with other folks cables.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
Don't buy them unless you know you can repair or reinforce them
It's hit or miss with these cords. Sometimes their great but there are others that are already weakly connected and the cut out. Wouldn't recommend them for that reason.
Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
Bought two of these cables and they had bad connections from the beginning. The connectors on both ends were shot and short out. Not worth your money or time.
Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
Nice lo-z cable. Easy to tell which is mine because of the tweed cover. I would get a different color for each mixer channel. Easy to track mic to mixer that way.
Comments about Musician's Gear Tweed Lo-Z Woven Mic Cable:
I have expensive cords that do not sound any better than these.
I guess I must have been the only lucky person who bought two of these and they still work after 2 years of gigging.
No problems, seem very sturdy on the ones that I own at least.
Works for me.
