As a solo performer using a Farley chair with an Ipad on a mike stand, this attaches at just the right height to make it easily accessible. I use the cup holder for my finger picks, and table for my capo and straight picks, so I don't know how stable it would be with a drink involved. I have only used it for a couple of performances, so I can't speak for durability, but so far I am impressed with this tool

It's nice to have your drink right there when you want it, but it is another item that doesn't colapse and takes up room in your gig bag. I would only recommend it if you are really concered about finding your lost shaker of salt.

Comments about O-Tray Microphone Stand Tray and Drink Holder:

This is a very reasonable and useful stand. I use it on my music stand to hold my drink and reeds and small tools. It attaches very quickly and is easy to take off the stand. I wish it was adjustable to fit more stands. Everyone that sees it loves it and wants one!

(Stand)SIZE MATTERS - but worth it

Comments about O-Tray Microphone Stand Tray and Drink Holder:

If you use capos and slides and switch between flat and finger picks you will find this worth having. It holds everything and a drink too.
It snaps onto the stand so....
As other reviewers noted you must have a stand it fits or retro fit a stand you have. I took mine to the store and found a stand I like that accommodates this.
If you gig a lot it is easier (and more professional looking) than finding a stool or chair to put stuff on.
This is my second one of these because I gave my last one to another performer I was gigging with when she begged me to leave it up for her set.
If you only want a drink holder this is overkill but it does work well as one. I prefer it to the swirly one because I've had issues with some of those transmitting noise up the stand to the mic when I access my drink.
I also use it on my music stand when I am rehearsing and learning new material.

only used 6-7 times so far. sturdier than imagined. holds fountain drink or water/beer bottle/can, capo, picks, tuner, nail file, etc. very secure on mic stand. mic stand too thin? wrap tape around it to expand the diameter.

I bought this because I am constantly switching harmonicas and from finger picks to flat picks and this keeps them within easy reach. I haven't tried with with a bottle of water yet (that's where I put the harps) but it seems like it would hold up.

Comments about O-Tray Microphone Stand Tray and Drink Holder:

I already reviewed this item once but thought it was worth saying that I bought a second one for my husband, who likes it too. We've had several performances since then and it's worked real well for us. The only thing I noticed is that, because it only fits on the lower part of our mic stands, it's a bit low if you're standing up. But that's a minor inconvenience and it might not be an issue with straight stand (we were using boom stands). All in all, it sure beats putting your drink on the ground, and we now have a nifty little shelf to put our capo and pics on! I've also added another picture where you can see the shelf better than the the picture I included with my last review.

Comments about O-Tray Microphone Stand Tray and Drink Holder:

I bought this because I'm always losing my capo and this serves a dual purpose, to also hold my water bottle during performances. While it won't win any prizes for asthetics (looks like it's made out of recycled tires) it is a brilliant concept. Fortunately it does fit our mic stands (one vintage chrome and the other an inexpensive "On-Stage" black stand). It does take a bit of force to attach it, but once on, stays in place well. The two and 7/8ths inch diameter cup holder will hold small, or perhaps some medium, beverage cups or 16 oz. water bottles but no larger water bottles or "Big Gulp" type beverage cups. All in all, it works well for my purposes (I'm no longer losing my capo and going into a panic during performances!) and I ended up buying a second one for my husband. The only reason I deducted one star was for the same reason others have mentioned, it is a bit bulky for the gig bag (they won't even "nestle" together due to the straight-sided cup holders) and could be improved with a collapsable beverage holder or, at least, one with slightly angled sides that would allow them to nestle together one under the other.

Now that I used this I can't believe I did without it for so long. Be advised that it only fits certain size mic stand, which I believe is 7/8"
This works on the lower part of my stand very nicely.
