Great sturdy stand for a light keyboard!

Features:

I love the sing hand lift mechanism.  All you have to do is grip the hand and you can raise it or lower it easily!

Quality:

Really strong!  When it's about two clicks from being completely upright, I can almost put all of my weight on it (200lb)

Value:

Value for mone (when it was on sale) was GREAT!  I've always loved On-Stage stands.

Overall:

Like I said, I've had past experience with On-Stage stands.  I bought a trombone stand from them and it's still holding my trombone!  This is surprisingly stong.  I would recomend this to anyone.  Though, like the title says, I have a very light keyboard (Casio CTK-800), so I can't tell you how sturdy it is with a heavier one.  Another thing is that I play my keyboard standing up (I play in a band), so It's more sturdy upright than it is at a sitting height.

Decent Stand

Features:

How many features can a keyboard stand have? Well, about the only thing special about this stand is the way that you lock and unlock the hinge. It works fine.

Quality:

Construction seems pretty stout.

Value:

As the title says, the value is decent, but not spectacular.

Overall:

The main reason I am writing this is to warn potential buyers about how to put this puppy together. Use your eyes and common sense before you trust the directions! It was supposed to be super-simple, simply slide the color-coded ends of the stand into the matching colors of the receptacles in the feet and tops. But the color stickers on mine must have been misapplied. Two of the ends of the stand are close together and two are farther apart. They correspond to the width of their mating recptacles on the feet and top. Just pay attention to those widths and ignore the colors and you'll be fine.

It stands there like it's supposed to

Features:

Easy to assemble out of the box, easy to set up and use.  Lightweight, yet strong enough to hold a decent-sized keyboard. Squeeze-action adjustment works as advertised, although I wish it had at least one lower notch (the board is left a little high for someone using a chair rather than a piano bench).

Quality:

Metal finish and non-metal parts all seem to be of decent quality.  Looks like it will hold up to road use, but time will tell.  No obvious defects.  Definitely takes the rated weight (my 20 year-old son tested that by lifting himself off the ground while holding the stand).  Seems to angle a bit toward/away from player depdening on which way you face it; this could be either a defect or a feature, depending on your outlook.

Value:

Best stand I've tried in this price class.

Overall:

For the money, a great stand for basic use.  I'm not sure how it will  hold up on the road, but if taken care of it should do the job.

I was really dissapointed to find out that this stand is not as good as it looked. First I had to put it together, which didnt take too long, they had a good labeling system which helps you put it together by color coding each part, thank goodness for that. But after that I realized that it is really weak. I leaned a little on the stand and it felt like it could have broken in two, and I only weigh 150 lbs, but it says the stand could handle 250 lbs, and I so do not believe that. But lets say that it can hold that much weight, its not even about that, the stand is very unstable and moves from side to side like the bolts are loose or something, but everything is as tight as it could get. Basically, it might be durable, but very shaky. Its really lightweight though, and pretty cheap, those are the only benefits. Not recomended for heavy keyboards, mostly for the little ones and portables.

This stand came free with the purchase of a recent order I made.  I already own the On-Stage Heavy Duty Deluxe X Ergo Lok, and it's a great stand! This stand was sent to support a Roland RD-700GX, which is a mildly heavy keyboard but not near as large as my Roland Phantom.  The latter stand holds either of these keyboards with ease and confidence, while the "deluxe" version seems as if it could collapse at any moment.  This stand may be alright for smaller keyboards, but if you want a stand that you can be confident in then move on.
