Cheap vinyl

| Review By: Dale Keown | 1 month, 9 hours ago

Features:

the stand part is very sturdy and you can adjust it to different hights but the leg caps come loose all the time.

Quality:

I've only had this seat for just under a year and I've only sat in it for about an hour or 2 a day. it's coming apart at the seams. It's cheap vinyl with bad stitching thread. Buy a real leather seat. it will last a longer.

Value:
Overall:

I would rather have a real leather seat because it will last for years.

A great CELLO chair

| Review By: Ronald Wilcott | 1 month, 4 days ago

0 people out of 0 found this review helpful

Features:

I use this great bench as a cello chair--we cellists need to have a chair that will allow our knees to be slightly lower than our sitz bones. This bench adjusts high enough to make this happen for me. I hag it adjusted so that the top of the padded seat is about 21 inches--which squishes to about 19 !/2 inches when sat upon. This is exactly the height I need and the height of the cheep dining room chair that I built up several years ago.

The bench breaks down so I can pack it in my small car and take it to gigs. I have a hard time getting that old chair and my cello in. This bench is fabulous because of it's adjustable height, nicely padded seat and portability.

I am aobut 5'10" with legs that are a bit long and this bench is perfect for me on it's next to lowest adjustment--6 more possible higher adjustments. If you are shorter, you might want to consider the regular KT7800.

I am also a music educator and have found that pianos at music festival venues are frequently very high in relation to the benches or chairs provided. I took the KT7800+ to our recent festival and my school accompanist was able to play much more comfortably because we could get her sitting high enough that she didn't have to bend her wrists to play. She was able to play difficult music more effectively and wasn't fatigued by the end of the day--having played 15 or so accompaniments.
