Double-spine gears with radial grooves allow the adjustable head to swivel in any position from fully horizontal to nearly vertical. I use one for my Yamaha MG166CX mixer and love how I can easily adjust and lock in both the height and angle - depending on whether I'm sitting or standing. Very sturdy. I like what it does both in the studio and taking to live work that I bought a second one for my 8-unit SKB rack, so I can have easy access to the compressor, effects, power conditioner, 31-band EQ, Exciter, and vocal processor - at the same height as the mixer. This really cleaned up my desktop and also makes it easier to move my gear into position at live events. Looks great too! Very solid and professional and worth the price.

Bought two primarily for my mixer and recording unit. The work, however are not very sturdy as far as holding the unit perfectly square when fully extended up. Small gaps in the tubing and fittings along it to sway just a little and your unit could end up sitting slightly crooked. Also, the base could be metal versus plastic, which would allow the base to be a little smaller and still keep the stand stable. Also, the stand can only handle a mixer/unit that is not very wide so note the dimensions! Also, if you have an irregular shaped mixer, like a Yamaha MG124cx that has a rounded back, you have to make an adapter for the small brackets at the bottom which hold the mixer up to keep it from falling through. Overall, they work, however, it could use several critical design improvements. I could recommend, however, with much caution and mainly because there aren't very many of these to choose from in this price range.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

I hit the road a fair amount. It breaks down easy. Not too heavy, not too light. Hold my Touchmix 16 perfectly. And gives good air circulation to let my mixer breath and cool.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

Bought two of these out of necessity, for my mixer and for my digital recording unit for home studio. Does not fit a lot of smaller mixers and devices, so know your dimensions! Also OK as far as quality. Average quality. There unfortunately
really aren't many stands like this to choose from out there, so you kind of get what you get. Appears to be pretty sturdy. Small tabs,(too small),hold your precious equipment from falling, so be careful!

Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:

Be careful. Does not reduce to a size that is usable for a smaller mixer, such as a Yamaha 8(16) channel, so measure your console! They should have designed it with larger tabs on the bottom which would be close enough together to hold a smaller unit. I'm going to have to modify mine before I can begin to use it. On Stage stands are OK quality, however, I would not call them professional grade. Plastic collar on stand bottom and plastic base were a disappointmnet.Otherwise, I beleive it will be functional.

I'm a pedal steel player. I use this stand to hold my CD player and a power amp. I play along with George Strait, Reba McIntyre and a lot of others. I do this "Live" believe it or not. It's a lot of fun. Anyway, this stand fit the bill perfectly!

Overall the stand is great, just wish that the center pole that holes the mixer was a little thicker or bigger. When i extend the stand to it's max. height it sways for side to side a little.
Great features on this item. rolls nice and smooth, adjust very easily.
Builded to last. You can't go wrong with this baby.
              Great value for the money.
