I needed a brown leather strap and this fit the bill. The strap appears to be fairly well made. There is stitching around each of the holes which appear to provide extra reinforcement. The brown leather is brown and old looking, if that is what you are looking for. Out of the package, the leather is a bit stiff, but I am sure it will soften up over time. The strap is comfortable and appears to provide secure support to my guitar.Some complaints: The stitching had a few extra threads sticking out, which I had to cut off. The leather had a strong chemical odor out of the bag. It is slowly going away. Recommend that you air it out a bit before using it.

I bought this strap, in black. The features are exactly as described, except for the color! The "black" distressed leather is light gray at best. It's a great strap, but does not look like the leather was ever black. The price, value, and quality are good, except the color.
