I Have a Tacoma DM14CE acoustic electric. This capo works great on my guitar. My Tacoma is 1and 7/8ths inch wide at the nut and at the ninth fret it becomes 2 and 1/16th inch wide. The 10th fret is just slightly wider. This capo is almost 2 and 1/8th inch wide at the top inside dimension and has a 3/4 inch adjustment up and down on the screw. My Tacoma guitar keeps it's neck profile all the way to about 3/8ths of an inch forward of the nut. so this capo parks easily on the nut and beyond if you really want it out of your way and you can sinch it down there without putting to much pressure on the strings. Also you can move it to the 1st 2nd or 3rd fret and hang it on a wall hanger. NOW AFTER SAYING ALL THAT. I want to let some people know that this capo will not fit on the nut of some guitars, But will still work by opening and closing the little U shaped latch once you get it worn in to open an close easily. My brother has a High end Yamaha acoustic electric. The profile on that guitar starts to change about 1/4 inch before the nut and is too thick for this capo to ride up on the nut. Some guitar makers make their guitars thicker where the neck starts to bend at an angle past the nut because that's where most guitars break if they fall over, especially if the truss rod adjustment is on that end. This capo works as well on the 9th fret of my guitar no buzz clear as a bell sounds like a mandolin as it does on the 1st fret.

6 string capo: Does not work above 6th or 7th fret depending on your guitars neck size. Also if you use a guitar strap connect above the nut like I do you have to take the capo completely off after use (versus leaving it clapped above the nut as recommended by the manufacturer). Disengaging the cape with the tiny little "U" hook is not that easy either. Does work great when properly fitted and connected though. Personally speaking I think this is a work in progress as I still require the use of my Shubb or Kyser. Now that's 2 capo's I carry for the 6. The same is true for my 12.

Comments about Paige 6-String Guitar Capo:

I never tried a Paige capo....especially a screw type capo. I liked the convenience of a spring load. But, after trying this model I am sold. It actually seems to keep the guitar in tune up the neck much better than my old ones. I takes some practice to use it, but it is light and slim (so you can get it close to the fret). I am a fan. I now have one in each of my cases and a couple in the gig bag.

Comments about Paige 6-String Guitar Capo:

I really like this capo, it improves the sound. I'm a bluegrass player so it is always a struggle because we have to capo our guitars and then pound on them and expect them not to buzz. This one works really well on my Collings D2H (which is basically a prewar D28) even tension and good sound. Only negative is it won't park behind the nut on this guitar due to the width of the neck and the volute. So if you have something similar like a D28 or heaven forbid a 1 3/4" nut it may not work for your situation. I have to take this unit on and off like other capos. I may have to give this away to my banjo player and get a little wider one. Once again, nothing wrong with the actual unit, but someone dropped the ball on the description. This will not park on a lot of high end acoustics currently in use today. The capo is exactly 2" wide so measure! They don't tell you this and really should. Paige does make a wider unit some of my buddies have one. One other note: capos are finicky. I have found: Standard series Martins (D-18, D-35)work best with a Shubb capo. Guilds have a weird fretboard and require a planet waves screw-type unit. These Paiges work good on vintage style guitars w v-shaped necks. Hope this helps.

Comments about Paige 6-String Guitar Capo:

I've tried them all and this is one of my two must have capos--there are two because different guitars/cases dictate different choices to achieve a combination that allows the capo to never leave the neck. For my acoustic, this capo rests just above the nut when not in use. The accurate tension adjustment allows just enough pressure to hold it there without affecting tuning. Very economical because it elliminates the inevitable loss of capos which are set aside between uses. When in use: it slides quickly into place and adjusts easily to a perfect tension.

Comments about Paige 6-String Guitar Capo:

This capo is one of the best I have ever had, and I've had plenty. Been playing for 50 years, and this one is my first choice when performing or recording. It takes a few seconds more than dunlop, kyser, or shubbs, but it is a precision capo that rarely, if ever, requires an adjustment in tuning after it is placed on the guitar. Very unobtrusive and easy to use; very small and easy to store!
I had used this particular capo for 12+ years without any problems, but a few months back, the plastic/rubber sleeve on the crossbar fell apart. At that point I figured after 12 years it's time to get another. But, before I bought a new one, I wrote Paige Co. to see if I might be able to get a sleeve from them; about a week later I had two replacement sleeves at my post office. So ... I'm guessing since they sent me 2 gaskets, I'm set for the next 24 years. Not bad for a $15 investment. I have a couple of Kysers I use for alternate tunings, but in my opinion, Paige is the best choice.

Comments about Paige 6-String Guitar Capo:

I've been playing over 35 years. The problem I've had with most capos is they don't clamp the strings down tight enough and the strings will buzz. Only one other company made a capo very similar and it went out of business several years ago. This one holds the strings in place, and keeps a great tone. I would recommend this capo to anyone .

Best alternative to the removable capo. I like it because it stays on the neck and you adjust the tension rather than a clamp on style. This is what I grew up with as a "blugrass" capo.
