ok, like the looks of the pro-line better BUT... when i installed this on my 98 model american standard, it just didn't fit right around the control plate. i got it on but for some reason there's a raised area that's just not flush with the body. i filed it down some around the c-plate indention and it's ok now.

I ordered and received this pickguard to be installed with some upgraded pickups. When I got it to the guitar store, I had second thoughts about not putting a Fender-brand pickguard on my MIM Tele. Well, I compared this Proline with the Fender, and liked the Pro better. The tech wasn't sure, but once it was on, he liked it alot. I am really happy with this tortoiseshell pickguard, and it fit perfectly. I saved some decent $ on it, too. The 3-ply, tort, white and black looks great, don't worry about the 2 other plys. I have it on my Vintage Sunburst and it rocks!
