The end all tuner for 12 strings with quirky tuning issues. Trying to find a tuner that would tune a friends Simon and Patrick 12 string (or replace it after some work I did on it)and my own Alvarez 5150 I tried the Korg CA 30, Seiko SAT 100, miscellanious Korg tuners and the Fender PT 100. Nothing gave me quick and accurate tuning on the 12 strings except this tuner. Using the arrows, needle and named notes it was quick and easy.

Pros: It has a backlight on the needle, however the backlight is only on if you plug it in. It comes in a nice case.Cons: It takes forever to actually figure out what pitch your trying to play, and then takes forever to react to it when your trying to tune. I've only had it for a couple months and the paint is already starting to wear off it. I bought this becuase the guy at the store recommended it, but its a peice of junk.

Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tune

By telewacker

Comments about Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tuner:

This tuner is housed in a cheap plastic and I was cool with that but performance wise it is not even passable.Wouldn't even tune my six string electric plugged in.Very unfortunate that this is on the market. They need to take it off.

Not The Best

By Cobra Convert

from VA

Comments about Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tuner:

Works sporadically - I have changed batteries and cannot get it to work with cabled input, only the mic seems to work, which is fine for an acoustic, but not for the electrics. Buy something else.

Why the Pedal?

By Jim-vXn6W

from Ohio

Comments about Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tuner:

This tuner worked okay for a while, but will now only generate tones (which are very high pitch). The lower right corner is actually a pedal that seems to have no purpose (although between working fine and not working at all, pressing the pedal would cause it to "hear" the instrument for about two seconds. So, I'm shopping for a replacement after little use.

NOT GOOD FOR BASS

By Thumping4Him

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tuner:

This tuner is very cheaply made/cheap plastic. It does not tune a 5-string bass at all and has trouble with the low B and even the low E string! Very susceptible to breaking, but it does come in a decent protective case. Okay for a guitar player at home, but not good for gigging. I will purchase a new one soon.

Best tuner I've ever owned

By matthart07q

from South Jordan, UT

Comments about Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tuner:

This tuner is the best damn tuner I've ever used. And it's chromatic to boot! I went to my local guitar store looking to buy a Korg, but the clerk recommended this one. I have to say he knows his stuff. This tuner is accurate as hell, and way better made than most tuners. The price is about half of a high end tuner, but with the same quality. I recommend this tuner to any guitarist, veteran or beginner. You won't be disappointed!

a great tuner

Comments about Qwik Tune Q12E Exogenic Chromatic Tuner:

I have tried several tuners both expensive and inexpensive and have found that for the money this is one of the best tuners that I have ever used. It is very easy to use works great for noisy or quiet settings. If you play live or just for fun I would definitely suggest buying this tuner for the low price you get a tuner that is equal to if not greater than the quality of others more expensive.
