Like I've said, I've seen better. But since I'm teaching an 8-year-old girl how to play guitar on a pink mini-Strat, I'm not going to be going out and buying her a $90 cable. Honestly, the coiled white Fender cable might be better for her, but these Horizons will do the trick just fine, even if I do have to do some soldering down the road. Maybe by then her roadie can do it for her... assuming that he's been trained to NASA STD-8739.3 (I don't mess around with signals, man...)
They are pretty much featureless. For anyone who has dealt with cable problems, that translates into 1. No braided jacket 2. No strain relief 3. Non-directional. Pretty much what you would expect from a very basic cable.
I have own three Horizon cables in the past, and they have all had to be reworked. As one who builds cables for space flight hardware testing, I can tell you without boasting that I can make better cables. However, I can't make them for this price, nor can I make them in these colors. The lack of strain relief will be remedied as soon as I get them home. Also, the hot wire tends to break loose after a short time, due to a complete lack of stress bends and tinning. And I don't know if they're using no-clean flux in their solder joints, but I'll definitely be using eutectic solder and scrubbing all the flux residue off the center pin for a while. But the cable itself is halfway decent, and the jacks are pretty standard. I don't expect much more from a cable in this price range.
If you've got to have these colors, this is still probably the way to go. Braided cables tend to cost quite a bit more than they're worth, so I don't mind skipping out on that for under $15. Just TRY to find a guitar cable in pink for your little girl/student for less money.

Thought I try these out, really like the color selection, easy to see where your cable is at all times. The cables tend to bind up a bit and don't slide smoothly across the floor. Sound quality is decent. Best used as a static cable from pedal board to amp but does a decent but not great job attached to the guitar. The quality, price and the color options makes it a good choice for practice, backup, and static use.

Good cables for spares, or to keep at the rehearsal space. Seem pretty well made, not noisy.

Comments about Rapco Horizon Instrument Cable:
Quality is good, about as good as it needs to be. I haven't had any problems with several new cords I have purchased over the past few years. Looks like they will last a while like some of my older cords from Horizon:
I still have a few of these from the 80s! One has seen a lot of use as it was my main cord for 15+ years. It still works, I just got tired of the color.

Comments about Rapco Horizon Instrument Cable:
I bought one of these in orange and have had no problem with it yet, but I bought the green one to go with my green bass, and there is some signal noise and loss. I may have to repair it, but for now it is good enough for practice. It's not high on my list of recommendations for playing out, but it's a decent quality, inexpensive cable for practicing.

Comments about Rapco Horizon Instrument Cable:
I've been playing for over 30 years. I'm in 2 bands. I've bought many cables. My experience suggests these(Horizon) cables are the best bang for the buck. I keep 4 or 5 in my bag at all times. One might short out every 4 or 5 years. If you stomp on them and treat them rough, they might short out sooner.

Comments about Rapco Horizon Instrument Cable:
If you've ever tripped over a black guitar cable, or tried to find a specific line in the stage darkness, you will absolutely be crazy for the neon color varieties available for this cable. YOU CAN SEE IT!
Comments about Rapco Horizon Instrument Cable:
Very happy with these cables.
I love these cables for the same reason everyone else posted - you will never loose these cables. No one takes them at the end of a show, they don't get lost. The only problem is if we keep leaving these reviews everyone else will catch on...
I gig three or four nights a week and I've had these cables go out after a few months, and some that have lasted me for about two years now.
Great price, I usually buy a couple every year or two.
Comments about Rapco Horizon Instrument Cable:
Definitely worth $
Love these cables - I've had two pair for a few years gigging frequently. Also - never loose them because of the color.
They stand up to being trambled on tossed around, spilled on etc.
Get some!!
Great value - very durable
