Reunion Blues

This unyielding electric guitar case is the result of painstaking research and today's latest technology.

The Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case is made from a water-resistant, two-tone black, ballistic exterior that surrounds a lightweight Flexoskeleton protection system with 1" high-density, dual layer foam and EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) impact panels that offer enough protection to survive a 40' drop without so much as a nick or scratch. RB Continental actually tried it and when the guitar inside emerged unscathed, they did it again for good measure and the results were the same.

Inside the RB Continental guitar case are loads of state-of-the-art features like a Blue Diamond velvet-tuck interior lining, a solid-cell neck brace suspension system, and thick Softmesh-lined side panels to cradle the instrument in a scuff-proof cocoon. With its roomy exterior pockets (including a reinforced laptop-compatible exterior multi-pocket), four inner accessories pockets, a Zero G palm-contoured handle, hideaway backpack straps, and an adjustable, locking security strap, RB Continental guitar cases are designed for rough handling.

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

Awesome. Couldn't ask for anything better. I got the daddy version (for acoustic) a couple years ago and it is still in perfect condition after being used EVERYDAY. So, buying this was a no brainer. I will never use anything else unless they stop making these for some stupid reason.

This is a pretty good portable gig bag to get!

              By Snake Venom

              from New York, NY

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

Two things that could be redesigned are the zippers and adding on a small pouch in the front top of the case.

The zippers are only one way which gets annoying as you have to fully unzip and re-zip the bag each time. A two way zipper would be better especially with the lower compartment bag.

Also a smaller zipped pouch could be added on the front top (at the headstock) for things such as picks, allen wrenchs, keys and other small things. Yes, there is a zipped pouch on the back of the case, but the compartment space is very tight. If you lay the case on it's backside, then you have to flip it over in order to access that small compartment.
Some of the features that I like are the hide-away padded shoulder straps, deep front zipper compartment with smaller compartment areas inside. The color and design looks cool too. More modern and up to date styling.

The internal neck strap holds the guitar firmly in place without it knocking around and shifting like other gig bags do.

There is also a built in carrying handle in the back of the bag that is concealable if you want to carry your bag veritically (standing up).
Very sturdy and stiff bag. Just what I was specifically looking for. I need a bag that is stiff enough so that it won't fold in half like the Road Runner bags do. There is too much stress put on the neck of the guitar with those types of bags, but the Continential won't bend or cave in when carried around. I carry my bag alot on the subways in NYC and it's been holding up just fine. The outer nylon material and weaving of the bag is very thick and rough. No problems with marring or possible small tears.

Besides my ESP JH-600 and Gibson LP guitars, I can also carry my Steinberger XL2A bass so talk about killing two birds with one stone!
The case is pricey as I've been shopping around. I had narrowed it down between this and a Mono MD-80 gigbag. Reunion Blues was a bit less expensive for the same sturdy features that I was seeking. Plus I was also able to get 15% off using a coupon!

I think this bag will last me a long time and won't have to get another for a while.

              I cannot recommend this ENOUGH!

              By Omar Torrez

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

I might hesitate to check in my nylon string guitar in one of these, but a Tele, Strat or another solid body guitar? No worries. This is one of the best purchases I've made.
I toured Europe and Russia with my Strat in this bag and had no fears about checking it in. This gig bag actually provides more protection than most hard shell cases. (It absorbs shock much better)

It is easy and comfortable to carry through airports with many strap options and looks good.
Every detail from the stiched seams, zippers to the pockets are top quality.
              Perfect

Overall great case but it has a few annoyances/flaws

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

It has some annoying flaws (just like the Mono case), but overall it's still a very good case. When it came to buying a soft-case for a new guitar recently, I was contemplating between this and the Mono M80 (which I already owned one of). After weighing all the pros/cons carefully, I ended up buying the Mono case. Would I buy another Reunion Blues? Possibly, but I would like to see some improvements on the pockets (bulges), zippers (2-way) and the bottom protection (MUCH more cush needed) first. Don't get me wrong, this case is still waaay nicer than the run off the mill RoadRunner and Fender cases.
I bought one of these about a year ago. I already owned a Mono soft case, and wanted to try this out for a new Warmoth Strat I was building. The thickness of this is unmatched. I've never seen so much padding in a soft case. This is obviously good for protection, but is a hindrance when you travel. I've never taken this case on the airplane as I'm convinced they won't let me attempt to put it in the overhead bins. The plush lining is nice and gives good protection, but it sheds like crazy! My guitar is full of 1/8-1/4" long fibers and I have to wipe it with a rag every time I take it out of the case. The outer pocket is big and holds lots of stuff. However, it lacks bulges like the Mono case, which makes it tight. It can be hard to get things in and out of it. You basically have to zip it wide open and bend it out. There's a smaller pocket on the outside pocket, but good luck trying to get anything in and out of it without scraping the skin on your hands on the zipper. This could have been avoided if they had just added bulges to the pockets.

All the zippers are one-way only, which is irritating. The most serious and very annoying flaw with this case is amazingly the exact same flaw that the Mono case has. It just doesn't protect the bottom of the guitar body enough! The strap peg is basically hitting the outer nylon when you put the case down! Unacceptable as the manufacturer brags that you can drop this case from 20 ft up in the air or something like that. I wouldn't want it to drop 1ft and land on the bottom as it just doesn't have enough cush.

The handle is thick, very comfortable, and well balanced (at least with a Strat in the case). It's easy to carry it around. It looks really nice too.
As far as the frame and padding, this case is unmatched (except the lack of cush on the bottom). The zippers seem very reliable, and they have a rubber seal which makes the case ideal for traveling in wet weather conditions. It breathes high quality, and except for the previously mentioned issues, it's a really nice case. It's where one of my custom made Warmoth strats has its permanent home. I bring it to gigs, toss it in the car, etc. The outer nylon seems incredibly tough and durable.
It's an expensive case, and I would have given it a much higher rating, but the lack of cush on the bottom, where it's needed the most, is not acceptable.

              Awesome gig bag!

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

I usually don't write reviews on products, but the continental saved my life. Last week, on the way to a gig, I left my guitar (in this bag) leaning against the trunk of my car, and backed over it. Once I felt the thud in the middle of my street, I knew my guitar was gone for good. However, upon taking the guitar out of the Continental and inspecting it, no harm was done. In fact, it was still in tune! I'm not saying that Reunion Blues can make the "back over your guitar because you're a moron" guarantee, but it worked for me.

              Excellent Gig Bag

              By CameronMizelldotcom

              from Brooklyn, NY

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

This is hands down the best case or gig bag I've ever used. Dragging my gear on the subway or loading it in the back of my car on the road, I needed something that could protect the guitar like a case but is easy to carry around like a gig bag. This takes care of all of that. The only criticisms I'd have match that of another reviewer. The accessory compartments are a bit lacking. The main pocket fits everything I need, but it's difficult to get in and out of it. The zippers are definitely stiff, though seem very durable. I also wish it sat a little lower on my back, because the top of the guitar hits the top of doorways, which is slightly annoying. All in all though, if you want to protect your guitar, you can't go wrong with this case.

              high end gig bag

              By Dave in SF

              from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

I got the Continental gig bag for Christmas for a Godin electric guitar that I lug everywhere.Pros: this is one well-constructed, heavy duty bag. Very plush. Comfy grips, heavily padded backpack straps. Padding everywhere. Heavy duty zippers. Good looking. Obvious quality and attention to detail.Cons: heavy and bulky for a gig bag. Accessories pocket could've used some pen/pencil holders. Zippers are stiff and hard to open/close.Overall, this gig bag is an amazing, high quality product. The Godin gig bag supplied with their guitars is better than average, and this thing makes the Godin bag look wimpy. In fact, it makes any other gig bag look and feel wimpy.

Best gig bag ever - watch out hardshells

Comments about Reunion Blues RB Continental Electric Guitar Case:

I'm a big fan of gig bags - if you're a working musician who lugs their own equipment around, you like to move as quickly and lightly as possible, making as few trips from your car as you can; and if you're taking public transportation as I did in NYC, that's a MUST. Gigs bags are great for that, but they don't always protect your guitar as well as a hard shell. (My archtop is worth more than my car, so protection is #1.) This is the first gig bag I've seen that's better than most hardshells, and is exceeded only by custom hardshell and flight cases. The construction is incredible - all the little details tell you this is a serious piece that will last for years. I bought one for my solidbody, and I'm going to buy one for my archtops.
