This is my second. The zippers broke. It sort of started falling apart. It sounds like a bad review but my keyboard looks great. I play about 150 gigs a year at corporate and wedding gigs. I use three keys. Theres no way I'm going to use a heavy hard case(im 60) to drive around south Florida in my Ford Edge. My piano weighs 15 pounds. Sure, the case falls apart after 5 years. I just get a new one. If I had a 40+lb insrument and carried my stuff in a band truck this case wouldn't last a week. So, it's good for me. Maybe not for you.

I wrote a fuller review a moment ago but saw one important detail I left out: look at the photo and notice how the four stress points for carrying are hardly reinforced. The two attachments for the handles and the two for the shoulder straps do not distribute the stress of the carrying weight at all. Other, better engineered models show shoulder straps, for example, that are sewn all the way down the sides of the case, distributing weight. Just thought that was an important detail to mention.

Worst bag on the market

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

Bought one of these - ripped at the seams the very first time I picked the keyboard up in it. Took it back and got a replacement thinking it was just defective - same thing. This bag is so bad it should be pulled off the market.

    Busted keyboard waiting to happen...

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

I'm echoing another reviewer's comments on this bag. Sure, the bag isn't well padded and the pockets are not that great; but it was adequate. That is, until I started using it with the strap over my shoulder. BIG MISTAKE! Bear in mind I own a lightweight Casio PX330 piano. The thing only weighs 30lbs! The gigbag immediately started tearing at the seams as I carried it from my vehicle into my venue, which was less than 20 feet away. Imagine if I owned a heavier piano. I would have to buy a new gigbag AND a new keyboard after it shattered on the sidewalk. Someone once told me: Its one thing to be poor, but don't be cheap. Budget-conscious keyboardists beware: don't waste your money on this product. Remember: digital synths and keys aren't as durable as electric guitars. They require more protection from dents, dings, and drops. My near-mistake.

    Absolute garbage

    By Sensuous Enemy

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

AVOID AVOID AVOID!Like other reviewers, the seams ripped on this bag the first time I tried carrying a keyboard in it. Returned it figuring it was just a defective bag. Nope. The replacement lasted 3 gigs before the seams ripped in the exact same spot. Fortunately, both times the bags ripped as I was picking up my keyboard. Had the bag falling apart resulted in me dropping my keyboard, there would be a lawsuit.Do yourself a favor, pay the extra money for a product that will actually perform as advertised. You'll be glad you spent the extra $50

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

I now own two Road Runner 88 key keyboard bags. They fit my Yamaha P120, and P255 perfectly. They provide good protection from the elements. They are soft bags, so you can't drop them down a flight of stairs, but they are both good quality soft bags. I especially like the carrying handle because it allows you to carry the keyboard without it being too low to the ground like some of the other bag's handles.

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

The Good: It's well made for limited use. Zippers are good, never failed and never stuck. And I like the two outer, zippered pockets for cables, plug-ins, even a foot pedal fit in the outer pocket. This case will keep the dust off your keyboard and will repel spills very well. The case itself is light, which is a plus. This is a good case for someone who only transports her keyboard a couple times a year. At that rate, it would last fifteen or twenty years.

The Bad: I transport my keyboard about twenty-four times a year and it lasted only 18 months. Eighty-eight keys are heavy, and the bag failed after about 36 uses. I usually carry it by the handle, like a suitcase, not by the shoulder strap, and the nylon at the handle has begun to rip. The handle is useless now, but I still have the shoulder strap to get a few more uses out of it.

Had the handle been engineered and attached better, this might be a great bag. It ought to be made more like a professional backpack, with rivets and reinforced leather and thick nylon for stress points, etc. I'll be looking for something more durable today.

Because it's just a nylon zippered bag, it does not protect the instrument very well. I never worried about using it for my cheapo Privia, but I'd want something more protective if I had a better instrument.

      Not a mobile bag!

      By CameronMc

      About Me Experienced

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

After the first three weeks the zipper notch broke, the plastic handle broke, and within a month-tops the seams began to rip near the strap. This bag is not for protection, but if I can't walk with it (bar hopping) without worrying about the strap breaking off then it's not really good for anything! In all fairness I have a heavy Casio Privia PX-100 meant to be stationary for home use, but I'm a college student ready for adventure and so should my bag. I drive and walk a lot between school, home, local and interstate travel. Being mobile has been fun but, I'm sorry to say, I do not recommend this bag to anyone --too many things broke too fast to be worth it.

      Works great despite the specs...

      By David P.

      from Central Iowa

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

I was a little nervous ordering this for my new Privia px330, because the specs show it just a tad small height wise, but it fits perfectly! Also the pocket on the front is alot bigger than I expected and is actually 2, each with it's own zipper.

Comments about Road Runner A RK5414 88-Key Keyboard Bag:

I used it fewer than ten times before the seams starting pulling apart. I think it has a design flaw.
