I have three of these for my ESP LTD Eclipses. They all have good fitment when compared to other modled cases. The velcro hold down strp for the neck makes sure the guitar isn't going anywhere which I like. I don't use this for the road, that is what my ATA flight cases are for.
I bought one of these cases for a new guitar with the intent of traveling with it, but after a month the case was useless. While the offset handle sounds like a great feature, it isn't. The placement of the latches makes no sense and/or there should be another latch. As it stands, the latches don't keep the case closed.
I have owned the bass version of this case for over a year and am very pleased, however, this guitar version was delivered and has one major issue: When you close it up and pick it up by the handle, the case sags. There needs to be another latch added to this design. I would not feel comfortable carrying my guitar, in this case, by the handle for fear of it breaking off.
I bought this 2 years ago, and I have been storing my Telecaster in it. My basement is usually humid, but having the case should be no problem. A little over 1 year later, I've noticed the case doesn't really close perfectly, as in: you will see gaps on the sides. Ended up having little red ant-like bugs crawling in and living there. I immediately got rid of the case. I've owned an SKB case and it is stored right next to this, my SKB case had no problem and I've had it for over 5 years.
not sure what the others are using the case for or what they expected for less than one hundred dollars but I bought this case for my son and its a great case and he has not been able to detroy it yet(like dropping it off the back of car, dropping it to the floor, just pretty much rough housing it) so if you need a good case and for not much money I would put your guitar in it and not worry.
