This is the first gig bag I've purchased, and after a year of use, it's finally showing signs of wear and tear. The zipper pulls both broke off and the net that holds cables/whatnot ripped open. It's a near-perfect fit for my Yamaha P70. I got the gold coverage, so I'll probably send 'er in when it starts to wear a little more.

Requesting a return of this product to M-F today. Just used the softcase last night to transport my Casio Privea to/from a gig.
In process of transport using the shoulder strap while supporting most of the weight under my arm the corner seam (next to where the strap connectors are) totally blew out (ripped). There is not apparently material reinforcement you might normally expect in this area. Very poor quality design and construction. The Privea is one of the lightest full size keyboards on the market (25 lb) so if cannot handle that I doubt it could handle any typical 88-key unit.
The size/shape of the bag was perfect. The wheels allowed for an easy tote/drag for a longer walk from the car to stage, but the wheels also did not allow me to stand the keys on end to store.
The accessory bag was also a bit disappointing since it was rather small, not very deep, and not padded. Good mostly for cables but not great for typical items like sustain medal and power supply.
I will need to look for another brand with better quality to replace this one.

Road Runner Keyboard Case

By Cathy Macbride

Comments about Road Runner RR Xpress Keyboard Porter Sm88:

I love this case.
This is such a GREAT case for a slim 88 note keyboard. The fit is snug so there is no banging around. The padding is very good and the wheels make it very easy to transport. I wish I'd bought it sooner.
Very good.
Worth every penny

I can't give it five stars because I haven't used it yet, but it seems very sturdy and well-made. This bag fits my Yamaha CP33 perfectly, snug as a bug. Lots of room for storage of cables/pedals.

Comments about Road Runner RR Xpress Keyboard Porter Sm88:

I bought this case for my Korg keyboard and found it difficult to use the handle to pull it. Love having the wheels but the handle is positioned in the wrong place. I took it to my shoe repair and they added a handle at the top of the case, where the handle should be to pull it properly. Well worth the added $$ but it's too bad they didn't put the handle there in the first place.

We ordered another bag that was bulky and too big for the CP33 Yamaha so we called to exchange. Great service and confirmation to replace with a correct size. Thanks to all at Musicians Friend from the Roths family .

Had to send it back -- though the salesperson said it would fit my Korg Krome 88, it did not (at least 3" too short). So def measure your keyboard first before you order this. Otherwise, it looked to be a good option for local gigging at a reasonable price.

Comments about Road Runner RR Xpress Keyboard Porter Sm88:

I love this case - just the right size for my Roland RD800 (ok, a little snug, but it fits). The only problem: one of the wheels broke off about a year after I bought it. I use the case 1-2 per week to get my keyboard to practice and this involves going up and down a full flight of stairs, so it did get a decent amount of wear over the year, though I had hoped to get a little more use out of it before it broke. I'm ordering a new one.

Great fit for an Alesis QS8.2, wheels make it easy to move around, worth spending the investment after reading unfavorable reviews of the less expensive version. If you don't need a road case this is the way to go.
