Rockfield

Custom pickups designed around the requests of players like you.

The Rockfield SWC (Select Wound Custom) bridge pickup was designed from the ground up by meticulously researching old design documents, spec sheets, wood shed articles, building, testing and re-testing for countless days and endless hours. Most importantly though, Rockfield shut up and listened to what the players wanted. After all the questions were answered and the research and testing were done, they finally came out of the lab with a killer pickup that they as players are also extremely proud of. Rockfield SWC pickups are slightly over wound and provide "ringing bell like" clean tones and growling vintage style leads with endless warmth and sustain. However, turn up the gain in your favorite amp and the natural bold and spongy tone of these pickups sizzles and cooks into a very full aggressive distortion without loosing note or tonal definition. The split coil option or "tapped" positions are useful and articulate well for a great pickup in any format!

Obviously, Rockfield had to complement the SWC bridge position pickup with a neck pickup that was just as strong as its brother. So back to the drawing board they went. With the main design concepts down and fundamentals selected previously, a tweak here and a tweak there gave a perfect blend of clean and bold tone that is round and spongy as it is singing and smooth. Tested and re-tested in many formats including with other makes and models of bridge pickups, this neck pickup is the perfect addition to any guitar!

Replaced stock Dean buckers in my Evo Special and what a huge improvement..I think the stock pickups were good, but when I hear these they are in a different league..very clear and responsive either  clean/dirty or coil tapped..A great find at a very fair price..do yourself a favor and try these  out...will buy more!!

I bought a set for my MusicMan Sub 1 a couple of months ago. Makes a huge difference! The clarity of these pickups is absolutly amazing. Very versitle. The bridge pickup sustains very nicely clean. With a coil tap the bridge pickup has wicked twang and the neck pickup is smooth and creamy when distorted. Great pickups for the price.

Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio and the likes have a new competitor on the market: Rockfield, and their pickups hold up nicely.  I had a Les Paul with stock  black pickups which were competent, but I wanted to put in some higher quality, name-brand humbuckers with a chrome finish, and I came across Rockfield's Select Wound Custom (SWC) set.  I got myself a pair, put 'em in, and now my guitar has a slightly thicker and warmer tone than it did previously.  As relatively inexpensive as they are, they are a great deal.  Highly recommended.
