Comments about Rotosound RS66LE Heavy Long Scale Bass Strings:

IF your a fingerstyle player like me and you have large strong hands and fingers, the heavier gauge will give you a 'lil more meat to pull on and fret. The standard Swing bass 66 gauge 45 G string can be a little "squirrely" at times for me and the thicker gauge definitely helps with that, I have a 2012 Jackson 5 string concert bass with 2 hip shot detuners on the E and B strings. I always liked the Sheehan set for the 110 E string which doesnt get as floppy when you drop to D, I find the same is true for the B string so now I buy the RS66LE set and order a single 130 for the B.

              greatest strings I've ever used

Comments about Rotosound RS66LE Heavy Long Scale Bass Strings:

I play a Geddy Lee Jazz, and love the top end distorted sound that I get with my Tech 21 BDDI. And these strings only add to the awsome tone I get. These strings can also have a very mellow, almost flatwound tone. Though they can cut up your frets over some years, I've used them for about two years, and haven't seen any signs. Even if using these strings meant getting my bass refretted in six or seven years, I'd still use them. These string are what Roundwounds were meant to be.
