I have the old Duncan EVH pickup (Evenly Voiced Harmonics) that is now called the Model 78. I love that pickup's tone but it wasn't quite hot enough for me. This pickup sounds just like it but with more harmonics and overall gain. I am pretty sure that Neal Schon uses these in his guitars. These are great for classic rock and a must for Journey tribute band guitarists.

This is the tone I've been looking for. I bought this pickup to replace the stock Dimarzio tone zone in my Charvel, I never really dug the overly half cocked wha sound the tz has and I wanted a more "vintage" tone if you will. I spent weeks reading reviews and watching demo's before settling on the CC and I'm much happier with my tone now. This thing nails that old school hard rock rip your face off tone without being overly trebly or mushy at high gain, this has alot to do with the alnico 2 magnets which are much smoother sounding than alnico 5's. The CC also has a very nice clean sound, sweet with just a little extra bite. One side note even though it's standard spaced it works just fine in the bridge with the OFR, just raise the E and e string pole pieces a little and your set. I haven't had it very long but if for some unforeseen reason it stopped working I would definitely buy another one.

For my money it's just an O.K. pickup. To my ears, and I've had this pickup in 4 guitars, it doesot have the right mid structure. So far every guitar it's been in sounded harsh with to much mid-treble and a little to compressed For this type of tone go with a Tonerider Rocksong bridge pickup as itsounds really good in almost every guitar plus they are half the price.

Ive heard this pickup many a times in the guitarshop downtown and its one of the best to install for just an overall great pickup. The price is unbeliveable for such a great pup. Myles Kennedy uses them in his Paul Reed Smith SC 245. His came covered because you can get them modded that way but you have to go through Seymour Duncan to get them i belive. Great cleans and beautiful tone when put over distortion. Smooth leads and you will hear every note. I guarantee it. Im putting some in my Epiphone Les Paul Ultra and my Aria PE-Studio. Pickup is perfect for singlecut guitars. Cant wait till christman so get mine!

I used this pickup in a Hamer back in the '90s and just recently installed it for a customer in his affinity series strat. Both times I was equally impressed. This pickups just "works". Distorted rhythm and lead tones are easy to get, harmonics are excellent, and, best of all, this pickup sound great on the clean channel. If you're looking for a replacement for a bright sounding guitar, this is IT!!!

I love this pickup,i have it in my ibanez,and in my warmoth H x H custom stratwith floyd. It's paired with an alnico 2 profor the neck. It is fat and mean and I have itwired for series / parallel.This pickup powers up your guitarwithout blowing it up like an Invader.It is just a straight up good pickup,better than any stock pickup for sure.

I have one of these in my Gibson ES-333 which is the typical es-335 semi hollow guitar. I find it works really well, better than some others I have had in it. This is the order of pickups in the bridge, all are covered except first one. It has had --- Gibson 498T (uncovered), Tonerider Rebel90, Gibson '57 classic plus, the Seymour SH-11, another Gibson 498T (covered) and straight back to the SH-11. This is a fairly hot pickup but without a lot of darkness that an AlNiCo V magnet can bring. It also has plenty of definition when overdriven.

I have this pickup in a GMP Pawnshop Deluxe(like a high end Les Paul, if you don't know GMP's)..It has a beautiful warm tone on the clean side and it shreds distorted...but not muddy, you can hear all the notes if your hitting chords, and put's out hot, hot leads...Buy it!!! you won't be disappointedDarren

My goodness. Let me just say that this is simply the best pickup I have ever played on. It's madness how good this pickup is. For anyone who is interested, Joe Trohman from Fall Out Boy uses these babies on his signature Washburn Pilsen Idol. It has the right amount of power, sustain and everything I ask for in a good tone and a good pickup.

I put this pickup into the bridge of a Squier Tele Custom, replacing the stock pickup.This pickup is like a PAF type of tone but is nice and hot with plenty of output. It's a rather compressed sound with lots of highs and mids and less bass than most PAFs though. There is good note separation on chords, clean or distorted. Clean, this pickup is bright but not shrill. Distorted this thing kicks butt. Lead work really cuts through and pinch harmonics come out easy.The only thing lacking is that chunky-ness on palm mutes but I use my middle or neck position for that.If you want a hot, bright (not shrill) tone that distorts really well, try this one out. I love this pickup and now I wanna switch out my neck pickup to match it better.
