A quiet, stacked humbucker with an overwound, hot vintage sound.
The Seymour Duncan STK-S7 Vintage Hot Stack Plus has a patented Stack Plus design with an overwound vintage tone, slightly hotter than the Classic Stack Plus. This revolutionary design injects tunable negative hum into the pickup circuit. Each stacked humbucker pickup is individually factory pre-tuned to offer the optimal traditional single-coil sound with no hum.
The Vintage Hot Stack Plus is recommended for blues, rock, pop, and classic rock. Use in the bridge with a Classic Stack Plus middle and Vintage Hot Stack Plus neck for a punched up Strat tone, or in the neck with a Hot Stack Plus bridge for the ultimate rock Strat.
Three-conductor cable allows splitting for true single-coil mode. When three Stack Plus pickups are all split, the middle pickup is reverse-wound/reverse-polarity allowing hum-cancellation when used with the neck or bridge pickup. The Seymour Duncan Vintage Hot stack Plus is designed for all well-balanced instruments and works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.
Get a great single-coil sound without the hum!

Comments about Seymour Duncan STK-S7 Vintage Hot Stack Plus:
I put it in a neck position of my classic series 70-s Strat. It was a long story with this guitar actually. I liked the sound of the stock pickup, quite bluesy, but it lacked some output. So I put a Dimarzio hs-4, which was a BIG mistake. It sounded very sterile and uninspiring with even weeker output than the stock one. So I deciced to try the Seymours. My main Strat has two of them - JB Jr in the bridge and Little 59 in the neck, I never had problems with these guys and that was the reason for choosing something drom Mr Duncan. Ordered this one and WOW! Incredibly sweet on clean and low gain and unbelievably useful at high gain. Here's where SRV meets Gary Moore, I think. Besides, it's noiseless. My style varies from blues to heavy metal and it covers both sides with a nice warm but yet glassy sound. Great purchase. Try it with STK s9b in the bridge and you will have a very versatile Strat guitar.
