Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

I purchase my Fender Deluxe about 2 years ago but did'nt like the Fender case it came with.I just don't think that it was sturdier enough for road/air traveling. So,I got the SKB injection-molded strat/tele case.I feel very secure with this case. Its like a battle tank for my Fender Deluxe.I've checked out other expensive custom made cases made of wood but I doubt it will protect your guitar if something happens. The way I look at it,why buy an expensive guitar and don't buy a case that will really protect and secure it.Spend that extra bucks for your axe or otherwise get a....Squire.

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

Well, maybe a bullet would pierce it, but this is a great case. One reviewer said that it wouldn't fit with his strap locks. My American Strat has Schaller strap locks and it fits just fine.

I used to have an Anvil ATA case for one of my bases, and I think that this is every bit as sturdy as the Anvil, and has better features, wheels, extra handles, etc.

    Love it.

Great Case for Strat, but not for Tele with Strap-Loks

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

Great case, well made, and probably a great choice for ATA solution. Unfortunately, the interior would not accommodate Strap-Loks on a Tele. If you had standard strap buttons it would probably work fine. A bit of a dissapointment as it was a good case. I had to return it due to that one issue.

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

I dig my expensive super strong and potentially secure serious guitar case. It can alßo roll over nice smooth surfaces. Worth more than it's weight.

If you can handle the weight and desire versatile security options, and have the money, you will be able to lock your guitar securely in a great number of places, such as in a dorm room, apartment, house, shakey backstage area, even on stage during breaks cable padlock it to a pipe or some strong point. Laugh at your average drunk thieves.

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

I have a couple of friends that live in different places in the country and wanted to be able to bring my own guitar to jam with. while this I a pretty expensive solution I don't think there is an airline PSA that will be able to damage my guitar if it's in this case. Locks are TSA approved and built in. All around anything you will need to protect your strat or tele.

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

The SKB iSeries Waterproof Strat/Tele Flight Case is fantastic; Good looking and extremely well constructed.

Even though the case is big (45" L x 17.25" W x 6.5" H and 19.4 lbs empty) one can transport it very easily using the handles and glide wheels.

While this case me be overkill for some, this case appears to be indestructible.

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

I bought this case so I could take my guitar on a flight as checked luggage. This is one sturdy case. Very solid, and everything about it looks like it is designed for durability. Well, durable except for the TSA locks. I tried one of the locks (there are two of them), and on the first try, it got stuck. I finally got it unstuck, and when I looked, I found that the tab is able to rotate out of position. It's a bad design. I ended up taking the locks out. I didn't want them to get stuck again. It would suck if my luggage didn't get put on the plane because TSA couldn't get the lock open. I can do without locks.

I bought this case for a thinline semi-hollowbody Telecaster. It fits perfectly in the case, except that the bottom of the guitar would not touch the bottom of the case if the neck was fully supported. Or if the bottom of the guitar was flat to the case, then the neck was floating in the air, unsupported. Not good. I could see potential there for the neck to be broken if the case was handled roughly. I think the case is designed more for a Strat than a thinline Tele. I experimented, and found that if I put a small microfiber towel in the case under the guitar body, then everything was fully supported and level. I ended up attaching the towel to the inside of the case with some flat-head wood screws, going into the polystyrene foam, or whatever the core material is. That actually works quite nicely. Then the towel stays in the correct position to support the guitar.

The other issue I had was that the Tele tone knob didn't have a corresponding cutout in the lid, so closing the lid was pressing on the knob. No good. I crushed some of the foam in the lid to make space for the knob, and then it fit perfectly. So with a few mods, now the case fits the guitar perfectly.

The case has the carrying handle in the center, which is off-balance for carrying the guitar. It would be better balanced if it was offset.

I had to work on it a little, but it's a great case.

Comments about SKB Injection-Molded Strat/Tele-Style ATA Guitar Flight Case:

Lightweight yet seemingly bulletproof, wheels, waterproof, and a perfect fit for my Tom Anderson S-type. What more could I ask? The case even makes a little "woosh" sound when I open it, a testament to its airtight seal. It got a little scratched up by the airlines, but after four flights so far it's still in near-perfect shape, and I did not feel terrified of the "what if's" for the first time in ages. Well worth the money IMO. Great job Gator!
