Most drummers have experienced the problem of noise complaints practicing in apartments or late at night. Cymbals can be loud and penetrating but Sound Percussion's Cymbal Mute quiets the sound, yet retains the feel of the cymbal itself.
Designed for crash and ride cymbals, the mute is constructed of an ultra-thin material that closely approximates the feel and touch of a stick hitting the cymbal. Immediately, drummers will notice a vast improvement over existing mutes and the makeshift use of towels, tape, and blankets. It is a breeze to set up and installs and removes in seconds; just place the mute on the cymbal and play.

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs Crash / Ride Cymbal Mute:
These mutes don't mute much, I'd say at tops maybe about 30% of the sound. They kill the ring a lot quicker than with nothing on the cymbals but they aren't that affective. The length also bothered me. They won't fully fit a common 18 inch crash cymbal. At the longest length these are still about an inch off the edge of an 18 inch crash. These fit 16 inch cymbals or smaller. I had to put two on my 18 inch crash and angle it down so I could hit it with the tip of the stick instead of the shoulder. I'd recommend buying a 16 inch drum mute, cutting a hole in the center and using that. That works WAAAAAAAY better than these.
